Rockville Trounces Kennedy
Varsity’s Field Hockey game against Kennedy last night was quite the nail biter. With 1-1 as the score, the teams went into double overtime.
No goals were scored in the two overtime periods bringing them to final shootout round with five players taking a shot on the Kennedy goalie.
Beth Kaufman (who scored in regulation play) was the first shooter and she scored bringing the score to 2-1. None of the other Rockville shooters were successful in getting the ball past Kennedy’s goalie.
The Kennedy shooters went 0 for 4 against Rockville’s goalie Teresa Sintetos until the final shooter, who got the ball past the goalie and the game ended in a tie 2-2!
JV won 5 - 0 each player on the offense scored a goal. The offense players were Patricia Hubbard, Allie Denion, Mary Sintetos, Trisha Huser, and Anne Wagner. The whole team played really well!!
