Sky Walker Players - 2009 HS All Tewaarton Team

2009 Toyota High School All Tewaaraton Teams Announced
The Toyota High School All-Tewaaraton team is awarded to the top regional players in each position across the Baltimore/Washington Metro area.
50 girls and 50 boys were named to the preseason watch list and a selection committee of regional coaches narrowed the list down to 12 females per team.
Congratulations to the following Sky Walkers who were recognized!

Sky Walkers - Tewaarton Award Finalists

TEWAARTON AWARD NOMINEES
The Tewaarton Award is the premier collegiate lacrosse award, and given in recognition of the athletic performance to the top woman collegiate player.
The 2005 Tewaarton Award Winner was Katie Chrest (Sky Walker 2002 / Duke ’06). It is similar to the Heisman in college football or the Naismith Award in basketball. At the end of the season there are five finalists on the Tewaarton Award Trophy Watch List. 40% of the nominees for the 2009 Tewaarton Finalists are Sky Walkers!!!

US LACROSSE MAGAZINE
US Lacrosse, the governing body of Lacrosse in the United States, publishes a monthly magazine, Lacrosse Magazine. Over the past few months many Sky Walkers have been featured and highlighted in the pages of the official LACROSSE magazine.
“GIVE AND GO”
This section feature people and players making a big impact in the game! Both Amber and Caitlyn were recently featured with great photos in this section!

In this May’s edition of Lacrosse Magazine four Sky Walkers (both past & present) have a presence in the magazine.
Ashby Kaestner (Sky Walker 2006) (pgs. 3, 22 & 23)
Ashby is the selected player profiled in the “Off the Field” segment. Ashby is a First Team All-American at Georgetown, and also a current member of the US Developmental Team.
Brittany Poist (Sky Walker 2007) (pg. 24)
Brittany talks about playing at a start up program, Louisville; and her decision to later transfer to Maryland, where she is a starting defender!

2009 US Wolrd Cup Team - Prague

CONGRATULATIONS to four Sky Walkers who have made the US Lacrosse World Cup Team 18 player roster, and will be traveling to Prague this summer!!!!
