Fall Baseball Late Registration Open until Mid-August
June 11, 2009
The Green Hornets' fall baseball late registration is available until mid-August with a $25 late fee assessed. Roster positions are "as available" status. Register at the Green Hornets website. The fall program is designed to prepare players for the spring 2010 season. Players will participate in the same age league they would play in next spring. Leagues are being formed at the 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and the high school age 17U levels. The youngest players must be 7 by April 30, 2010 and the oldest high school seniors next year. Teams will compete against opponents from throughout Anne Arundel County. Friday evening instructional clinics are offered as part of the fall program. Bull Roast Roaring Success
May 18, 2009
The third annual Bull and Oyster Roast on May 16 was a great success. Over 350 parents attend the event. Ninety silent auction items were sold off along with airline tickets, vacation condos and sports memorabilia. The funds raised by the Roast will be used by the Green Hornets' baseball program for equipment, field improvements and training clinics. Thank you for your support!!
Opening Day Ceremony and Parade
April 5, 2008
 The Opening Day Parade and Ceremonies were a great success despite the high winds. Several thousand baseball players and parents participated in the annual event. The parade was led by the Annapolis High School Navy Jr. ROTC color guard followed by Midshipmen from the US Naval Academy Glee Club. Teams paraded under the balloon arch with girls' Tball leading the leagues. The high winds caused the cancelation of climbing wall from Big Vanilla, Frozen Ropes pitching inflatable and the Moon bounces. Nevertheless, most teams played their first games of the season on the quickly drying fields. See Newspaper Articles Link to the left for full story in The Capital.
