ILH Outside Participation Rule
ILH policy as stated in the bylaws requires that students cease all participation in volleyball camps and schools once the ILH starting date for volleyball begins. A clinic is defined as a sport education event that occurs no more than once per year and lasts no longer than three consecutive days. ILH participants are allowed to participate in clinics during their respective sports seasons.
A sports camp or school is defined as a sport education event that occurs over an extended time (four consecutive days or more) or occurs at regular intervals throughout the year (weekly, biweekly or monthly intervals). Involvement in sports schools or sport camps during the season is considered outside participation. Students are not allowed to participate in any outside camps or schools during the ILH season in that sport.
If you have enrolled your daughter to participate in any volleyball clinic, school or camp as of July 30, 2007, please check with a coach to see if it constitutes in a violation of league participation rules. Violations may result in the team forfeiting games where individuals participated in outside volleyball training sessions during the season.
