CHURCHVILLE-CHILI FOOTBALL
COACH/PARENT ORGANIZATION
(CPO)
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this document is to define the function of the Coach/Parent Organization (CPO). The guidelines stated on this page are necessary to provide a framework from which this group will operate. It is important, to all involved, that the role of the group be defined, in order for it to be successful in its mission. Please understand that this is a “working document” and changes may occur as this organization takes shape.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The CPO has been created as an opportunity to increase communication between the coaching staff and the parents. Meetings will be utilized to exchange appropriate ideas, discuss issues and distribute information. CPO members may be asked to utilize their talents, share information with other parents in the program and recruit other to assist in our efforts.
Additionally, the CPO will function as a promotional and organizational group. It is dedicated to enhancing the football experiences of the student/athletes involved in the Churchville-Chili Football Program. A charge of this group is to develop programs and activities to promote and recognize those involved in the football program. In addition, this group will assist the coaching staff in creating teambuilding and social opportunities that will be a supplement to the players’ football experience.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The creation of this group is meant as a positive step toward working together for the benefit of our student-athletes. It is not a public forum to air grievances or voice a personal agenda. While the coaching staff recognizes that subjective issues related to the program may be covered, at no time will discussions be attacking in nature toward individual players, coaches or parents.
There are no guarantees offered for your efforts. Parental participation in the CPO will not guarantee your son a starting position or an increased role on the team. Our policies for evaluating players’ performance will continue under our current system.
It is the sincere hope of the Churchville-Chili Football Staff that this endeavor will be a positive and rewarding experience for all those involved. We are looking forward to creating a “family” atmosphere that will provide our players with many positive memories of their time in the program.
