 “Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders”

--American Youth Football

2005 brought us the start of a much needed youth football & cheering program in the town of Tyngsboro.  The Tyngsboro Youth Football & Cheerleading (TYFC) program had a very successful inaugural season.    Our 4 football/cheer teams showed true enthusiasm, sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication.

On August 1st, 2006 a new season of youth football and cheerleading began in Tyngsboro under a new national league, the NFL-endorsed American Youth Football (AYF) organization ( www.americanyouthfootball.com ).  Our league expanded to 6 football teams and 5 cheering teams.    Our Jr. Midget cheerleaders made it as far as the regionals in Tyngsboro's very first year ever in competitive cheerleading.    Our Jr. Pee Wee Red Football team advanced to our conferences playoffs.

TYFC completed it's 2007 (third) season with 6 football and cheerleading teams.    The Jr. Midget football team coached by Mike Flanagan made it into the first round of the AYF, Central Mass conference play-off's.    The Jr. Midget Cheerleading team advanced to the American Youth Cheeleading National competition in Florida and brought home a 3rd place trophy!

History was made in the 2008 Season, TYFC's 4th, with all of our eligible football teams making it to round 2 of the Central Mass conference play-offs!  Our Senior Mites and Pee Wee teams advanced to the Super Bowl and the Sr. Mites won their Division Super Bowl Title!     Our two eligible cheer teams also advanced to Regional competition in Rhode Island and made us very proud!  In only 4 short years we have witnessed the beginnings of some new Tyngsboro pride and traditions!   Planning is already underway and some exciting changes are in store as we enter our 5th Season  (2009) as an organization!

American Youth Football, Inc., established in 1996, is an international youth football organization established to promote the wholesome development of youth through their association with adult leaders in the sport of American football. Rules and regulations are established to ensure that players play in an atmosphere of safety with a competitive balance between teams. American Youth Football is on a mission to GIVE BACK to the community. The NFL recognizes this firm commitment and AYF has been made a national youth partner of the National Football League.   TYFC has become a member of the Central Mass Youth Football & Cheering Conference (CMYFCC) www.cmyfcc.com .

Our goal here in the TYFC organization is to provide our boys and girls the opportunity to learn team work through competition; promote good sportsmanship; maintain good grades in school; and above all, have fun.     Please be sure to visit all of our web pages for more information on our program.  Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions wroderick@segue-mfg.com and/or Ginnyofma@aol.com.
