2009-10 Registration is OPEN!!

Welcome to another wonderful year with Triangle Youth Hockey.
We look forward to a season of fun, learning, friendship and growth.
League divisions for the 2009-2010 year are as follows:
Mites (birth years 2001 and younger)
Squirts (birth years 2000, 1999)
Pee Wees (birth years 1998, 1997),
Bantam (birth years 1996, 1995)
Midget 18-U (1994, 1993, 1992, 1991)
The costs this year have remained the same since 2008-09. House teams (mite, squirt, peewee, bantam, 18-U) will cost $880 for the season. The travel team (peewee) will cost $1450. At the time of registration, a $450 deposit is required for house and travel (unless you have submitted a financial aid form). If applying for financial aid, the registration fee is waived until your application has been processed. You can expect a status update within three weeks of applying. The remaining balance will be due at the end of August.
Also, for those new to TYHNC, Peewee Travel A tryouts have been completed and returning house players spots will be held open for them for three weeks during registration. Everyone is allowed to register now.
Triangle Youth Hockey of North Carolina is a USA Hockey, Carolina Amateur Hockey Association Affiliate. All players are REQUIRED to register online at USA Hockey.
It is very important that you register with USA Hockey for the 2009-10 year BEFORE you register with us. Last year's number will not work for the season.

This registration number will be required to complete TYHNC Registration.
Remember, your registration is not complete until:
1. You have registered with USA Hockey.
2. You have submitted your registration form to TYHNC.
3. You have submitted your payment to TYHNC or you have submitted your financial aid application to TYHNC.

Thanks to a grant from the Hurricane's Kids 'n Community Foundation, we are able to provide financial assistance to those in need. For help with registration fees and/or equipment costs, please submit the financial aid form online, located in the registration online forms section of the website.

Hockey Helmets Recalled by Reebok-CCM Due to Head and Neck Injury Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Hockey Helmets
Units: About 1,000
Distributor: Reebok-CCM Hockey U.S. Inc., of Montpelier, Vt.
Hazard: The helmet's chinstrap can unexpectedly disengage while in use. If this happens, the helmet can fall off, posing a head and neck injury risk to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: This recall involves RBK and CCM brand hockey helmets. Helmets included in this recall have a HECC sticker with date code JUN - 2013. HECC stickers and model numbers are located on the back of the helmets. Models included in the recall are:
