2009 Late Registration Form
Click the underlined file on the left - Late Registrations for the 2009 season will be accepted at the UQA Free- Football Clinic. Dates for the clinic are July 14th,15th and 16th at the Queen Anne's County High School. The registration fee is now $175. If you're planning to sign-up at one of these dates; please call the UQA hotline as soon as possible (410 758-5396) with your son's age as of Sept. 1st, 2009 and his approx. weight. This would greatly help us in estimating the number of players on each team..
Big Guys Needed!!!
UQA Football is looking for players, in Middle School (11-13), to fill up their "unlimited weight" football teams. These teams are the 11U, 12U and 13U. Players league age is determined by your age as of Sept. 1st. Players on these 3 teams only can play without any weight restrictions. Spread the word around the UQA community that the big guys can play and that we're looking for them.
REGISTRATION DATES HAVE BEEN SET FOR 2009 SEASON
All registration dates have been posted on the calendar tab for the 2009 football season. Check back regularly for news and updates!
DID YOU KNOW????
League Expenses
Did you know that UQA is an independent football league and not sponsored or funded by the county. This means that the league needs to raise all the money it takes to buy equipment, pay league fees, insurance, etc. that it takes to run the league. It takes about $40,000 a season to fund these teams (that's based on 8 football teams). If you are interested in seeing the breakdown of cost you can click on the link for league expenses. Any and all help that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
NEW LEAGUE DIVISION
As of the January 2008 AAYFA commissioners meeting, the UQA Lions will now be playing in Division 1 football as designated by organizations previous year records. . Our opponents will be the Chesapeake Bay, Pasadena ,Cape St. Claire, Severna Park Green Hornets, GORC, Severn, Rebels, Edgewater and Crofton . The remaining 11 organizations will play Division 2 football and also play each other.
