FIELD OF DREAMS SPORTS COMPLEX BECOMES BREWERS WORKOUT FACILITY.
The Field of Dreams Sports Complex has made an agreement to make the workout facility the home of the Utica Brewers Training Center of the eastern collegiate Baseball League. Thanks to Bob Cook Owner and scout for the Cinn Reds organization who has agreed to have our players and organization use his facility this summer. It will provide us with 6 indoor hitting Cages and a full Practice field indoors as well as pitching mounds.

Brewers pound out 12 hits to beat Blazers 12-2.

The brewers used 12 hits and capitalized on a few mistakes in route to a 12-2 non league win Thursday night. Shane Franz went 2-4 with 5 RBI's League leading hitter Eddie George was 2-3 scored 4 run's and got his 14th Stolen Base on the season in 11 games. Matt Nilo was also 1-2 with 2 walks and an RBI the Brewers raised it's record to 6-4 and play the Vermont PNA Eagles on Saturday in a League Double Header at Donovan Stadium 2:00 / 4:30.
Brewers beat Thunderbolts in Historic Cooperstown.
The Utica Brewers made it a long day in Cooperstown NY on Wednesday where several players from the brewers never had the chance to visit the Hall of Fame and Play Baseball on the Historic field for the 1st time in there career It was a memorable one. The Brewers beat the Rome Thunderbolts in a none league game 10-7. The Brewers fell behind 1-0 in the 1st and then took the lead for good in the 4th scoring 5 runs .Shane Franz drove in the 1st run with a single to right field scoring Matt Rossi who lead of the inning with a walk. Then with the bases loaded Eddie George launched a deep fly ball to left field that everyone thought was a Home run but to only hit the 20ft mesh netting above the outfield fence for a long single driving in 2 runs in that inning where the Brewers took a 5-1 lead. In the 5th Matt Rossi hit a Bomb to Right center Field 400ft HR as the brewers added 2 more in the 5ths to take a 7-1 lead But Rome Never Quite and came back with 2 into the 6th to close the gap to 7-3.The Brewers added 2 more in the 6th to make it 9-3 and Rome answered wit 3 in the 7th to make it a 9-6 Rome and Utica added 1 each in the 8th and Utica held on to win the game 10-7. Matt Rossi went 1/2 with HR 2RBI's and Scott Dubben was 2/4 with an RBI. The win know puts the Brewers record at 5-2 overall.

Brewers game with Geneva changed to 7/13/09

The ECBL's Utica Brewers have scheduled a non-league game against the Geneva Red Wings of the prestigious NYCBL at McDonough Park in Geneva on July 17th @7:00pm. This will be the Brewers first look at the Red Wings. the was changed due to rainouts and league games needed to be rescheduled for that date.
ECBL Baseball Allstar Game to be held July 8th 2009 @ 7:00pm at Delutis Field in Rome,New York. The ECBL will be playing the Syracuse Stan Musial League All Stars.
