All Star Days
July 3, 2009
July in Vienna means All Star month for Babe Ruth, as well as plenty of Vienna Senator games. This year we have 6 all star teams, the 13, 13-15, 14, Alliance, 16, and 16-18 year old teams. All but the 16 to 18 year old teams will play in local districts, then, (hopefully) go on to the states. The 16-18 year old team is already in the states. Most of the teams get started July 8-9, but the 16 year old team will not start until July 20. Alliance and 13-15 year old teams have already begun to play. Please hit the tourney button on the left, and select the teams you are interested in, and follow along. There should be a file on each team page which you can click on to get general information on each tournament. To get a better look at the teams, click on the team s menu for complete rosters, pictures and numbers if they have been furnished.

Please join us on Saturday June 25 between the American and Senior Championship games (about 11:15 AM) for the award ceremony.
13 Year Old District Tourney To Be Played at Waters July 9-12

The 13 year old district tourney will be played at Waters Field July 9-12. We are honored to host this tourney, but we need you help. Volunteers are needed to run the snack bar, do field maintenance, run the score board, announce and score the games. Please email us by clicking the email button on the left menu if you can help out.
Town Tourney Time !

A week of great baseball is now over, and the Town Tourney Champions have been crowned. The tournaments themselves have been terrific, especially in the Senior league, where the scores were 3-2, 3-1, 2-1 and 2 1-0 (both in extra innings)! The Champions are: Prep League

During the summer months Waters Field is home to our own Vienna Senators of the Clark Griffith League. This wooden bat league is made up of talented college players recruited from all over the country who aspire to play professionally. You will find yourself among the growing number of excited fans cheering for our home team and maybe even some for the other teams when you recognize players from our own area! Five players on the Vienna Senators call Vienna their home.
