Warrior's Season ends with a hard fought lose.
May 30, 2009
The Warrior Ladies put forth a great effort in a 2-0 loss to the Ionia Bulldogs. Both runs scored by the Dawgs, were in the form of Home Runs. The first was in the bottom of the first inning, and the second came in the bottom of the 4th inning. The second one was the first ever off the scoreboard at Charlotte. It is located in Right Center field. Lindsey Ruedisale throw a great game and had defensive help behind her that turned two unique double plays today. The first in the second inning on a fly to right field that was caught by Kara Peruchietti, then the relay into the infield to Noelle Brown who throw to Carli Reid for the second out. The other double play was in the bottom of the fifth. Julie McLane caught a tough bunt-pop up and then got up to throw out the runner at first on a great back up by second baseman Courtney Kieft. Offensively, the Warrior could only muster two hits. Both of the hits came off the back of Katie Blodgett. The Warrior finish another winning season at 21-11. The Program has come a long ways and continues to get better. One last thank-you to Graduating Seniors Victoria Lane and Jessica Thompson, for all their contributions to the program. We will miss you girls!!!!!!!!!

WAVERLY JUNIOR VARSITY WIN THEIR TOURNAMENT
April 18, 2009 - 05:00 PM
Waverly's Junior Varsity won their own tournament with a 2-1 day at The Softball Complex. The Junior Warrior's opened the day with a 12-6 win over the Eastern Quakers. Then they came from behind in Game Two to defeat the Everett Vikings 13-10. Essentially, that was the championship game. In the Afternoon cap game, the Junior Warriors were defeated by the Northwest Mounties 9-7. Even with the loss the Junior Warriors won the title. This is the first time in the history of the Junior Varsity tournament that the Junior Warriors have won their own tournament. Good Job Lady Junior Warriors.
