Friday 6/26/09
The American allstars took on Spring Hill National. After falling behind 6-0 at the end of 1st, they fought back each inning. At the end of the 5th they showed how hard they fought as the found a way to score a run in each inning. They lost 9-6, but at no point did they give up. Batting was lead by Brian Snyder with 2 hits (both great bunts). The following had 1 hit each: Medina, Blank, Pease, Steele, Clouser, and Wrage. American finished the tournament 2-2.
Thursday 6/25/09
AAA - National
Our team played Oak Griner. Oak Griner played well and our team just couldn't come up with any offensive attack. Final score was 4-0. We are pleased with our National team as they played hard and walked away 2-2.
AAA - American
Undefeated American took on undefeated Hernando. Hernando started out up 4-0 at the end of 1. American fought back and at the bottom of the 4th was up 7-4. Hernando fought back to tie it at 7-7 at the end of 5. At 12:20am Friday morning, the lights went out and the last inning was played on Friday night at 6pm. American put the 1st to batters on base, but their at bat ended on a great double play by Hernando off a line drive. American wasn't able to stop the offense in the bottom of the 6th. Hernando won on a sac fly to centerfield. American is now 2-1 and will play Saturday.
Tuesday 6/23/09
AAA - National
They took on South Lake after a 2hr rain delay. The won in a dominating fashion......13-2. This was accomplished with great pitching from McLean, Stringfield, and Faddoul. The teams bats were connnected all throughout the game. South Lake had to keep their Ace pitcher in, but to no avail.
Both American and National have the night off due to the delays from Tuesday and will be back at the fields on Thursday.........weather permitting.
Monday 6/22/09

Saturday 6/20/09
AAA – American
They went up against host Ridge Manor. What a game for the American division. They started the 2009 Allstar tournament off in the best way possible. Winning 11-0, ending after 3.5 innings. The pitching was outstanding. Jp Steele and Nick Wrage combined for 9 Ks. Ridge Manor was only able to put 3 balls in play, and the defense turned all of those into outs. Do the math…………..no one reached 1st base. On the offensive side, they had 8 hits. Michael Wu had a triple and a single. Brian Snyder, Steven Blank, Scott Ballmann, Cameron Leonard, Ryan Clouser, and Nick Bass all had singles.
They will take on Bushnell on Monday.
AAA – National
They took on Spring Hill National. Through the 3rd inning it was a close game with our team trailing 3-2. The game ended with Spring Hill on top 10-3. Spring Hill is a good hitting team. Our defense played error free ball, but Spring Hill just found the open spaces on the field. Our pitchers recorded 7 Ks, with Chris Faddoul having 5 of those. We recorded 6 hits during the game. Jacob Thomas had a double. Chris Faddoul recorded 2 singles. Tanner Alvarado, Bailey Collum, and Nathan Stringfield each had a single. They will play Sumter Monday afternoon.
