2009 Fall Ball Announcement
The Weirton Baseball Association announces registration for the 2009 Fall Ball season. Instructional sessions will take place during the week, with weekend game play against other local community teams. Registration is based upon the league in which the child will be playing during the 2010 season. For more information and to register, please contact Nathan Mazur, (304) 723-1543 (7-8 year old Pinto league); Rod Rosnick, (304) 723-1268 (9-10 year old Mustang league); or David Cowden, (304) 723-3983 (11-12 year old Bronco league). Registration fee is $25.00 and will be open until July 20, 2009.
2009 Bronco Champion Pirates
On Sunday June 28, the 2009 Bronco Championship Tournament found it's final game in Weirton, with the #1 seed Weirton pirates facing off against the #3 seed Wintersville Yankees. Much like the Mustang finals, the Weirton Pirates capped off thier own undefeated season with a 9-1 Championship victory. Congrats to Tom Bever, his staff, players and families on an incredible season.
2009 WBA Pinto Challenge Champion Giants
The annual WBA Pinto "End of Season" single elimination tournament was completed yesterday with the 2009 Championship game between the Cardinals and Giants. A great game was played by both squads, with the Giants emerging as Champions.
Congrats to all Pinto teams for a great competitive season, and congrats to the Giants, 2009 WBA Pinto Champions!

2009 WBA All-Star Teams Selections
Managers from all leagues were asked to submit votes for the 2009 WBA All-Star teams this weekend. Ballots were counted by the Player Agent and a Board member unrelated to division for all baseball divisions (ie Pinto 7's, Pinto 8's, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony) and softball divisions (ie 11U and 14U).
Teams were selected by following the guidelines set forth in the 2009 All-Star Selection Policy. The policy can be found in the Printable Documents section of this website.
