    Welcome to the official website of the Newmarket United Under 18 Girls Team 1. We're competing in OISL Provincial League for the 2007/2008 Indoor Season at the OSA Centre in Vaughan this winter.

    Please check out our site and contact us if you have any questions.


    2008 Outdoor Season
    For the 2008 Outdoor Season, the team will be having their regular game night on Thursday with several Tuesday night games due to a shortened season.

    Practices will be on Sundays at Denison High School from 6:30-8:30 p.m
    Starting July 1, Tuesday practices will be at the Pickering College North field from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

    We ask all players to be at games at least 45 minutes prior to game time.
    Please allow yourself plenty of time to travel to away games allowing for traffic.

    Players should be at practice at least 15 minutes to start time.

    Please check the Central Girls Soccer League website prior to every game in case there is any schedule or field changes.


    Heart of York Champions
    The Newmarket Under 18 Girls did it again. They won the Heart of York Under 18 Division in a very close game against the Aurora Stingers. The game went into overtime with the Newmarket team sinking it into the back of Aurora's net.
    Congrats Ladies on another very successful tournament.


    Newmarket United-CGSL Cup Champions!!!!!
    On July 19, the Newmarket United Under 18 Girls beat the Aurora Stingers 3-2 in overtime in the CGSL Cup Semi Finals.
    The team then proceeded onto the CGSL Cup Finals against Uniovnille and won in regular time 3-1.
    The team has had a very successful season so far by winning the CGSL Cup, the Ambassador Cup and were finalists in the Frank Sobil Tournament in May.
    Great work ladies. Keep it up.


    Ambassador Cup Champions!!!!!
    On July 12 and 13, the u18 girls traveled to Kingston to participate in the 2008 Ambassador Cup. The girls finished in first place in group play with 3 wins. The won in the semi-finals against Ottawa South United 2-1 and beat Glengarry Heart in the finals 1-0.

    It was a great weekend with the team playing great together. It was great to welcome back Rebecca and Sheryl in the lineup after missing a number of games due to injuries. Their presence on the team played a significant part during the tournament. Welcome back girls, good to have you back.


    Frank Sobil Tournament Under 18 Girls Finalists
    May 5, 2008 The Newmarket u18 Girls participated in the first tournament of the outdoor season at the Frank Sobil Tournament in Oshawa on May 3 & 4.
    With a record of 2-1-0 in division play, the team advanced to the finals for the tournament. The team lost 3-0 against a very strong OYSL Whitby team in the finals. The girls played with lots of heart and skill and had a great start to a promising season.

    Seasonal play begins on May 22.

    Next tournament is the Ottawa International Icebreaker tournament on May 24 & 25th.
