Modified Practice Schedule for August 10th
Please be advised of the following:

YOUTH FOOTBALL - NO HELMENTS OR PADS PRIOR TO 7:00 PM
For the safety of the participants, remember to take frequent breaks, hydrate frequently and have extra liquids available.
Coaches, no helmets or shoulder pad use prior to 7 pm this evening please
In House Tackle Football for 5 year olds
In house tackle football for 5 year olds. This gives parents an option for their 5 year olds to begin the transition from flag football to competitive tackle football.
Under this new program, players will be equiped with full gear and will learn the skills the big boys do. Since this is an in house program, the strength of the program is dependent upon the number of 5 year olds that participate. It is our hope to be able to field at least two in house teams that will compete against each other on game day. If we can field more than two teams, that will make the in house program even stronger.
This is a pilot program for SAC and we are not aware of any other organization that is offering this type of program for 5 year olds. If you would like to discuss this program with the Commissioner, please contact him at severnsemininolesfootball@hotmail.com

Late registration for the Severn Athletic Club’s youth football program will be from 2-4 pm at the Red Shack at the main football field complex area at Severn Danza Park on Saturday's July 4th 11th,and Sunday July 19th. Price includes the $50.00 raffle fundraiser. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE ENTIRE FEE AT REGISTRATION. You may put a deposit down and work out a payment plan. About Parent Volunteer Support. This is part of a parents obligation to do as being part of the Severn Athletic CLub organizatin. Severn Athletic CLub is NOT A BUSINESS, it is a community based, volunteer supported non profit organization. Its mission is to provide recreational opportunities to children in our community. We absolutely need as well as require parental volunteer support. This takes form in many ways. Coaching, working in concession stand, helping to set up and take down the field, cleaning up the field area after each game, parking lot control and cleaning bathrooms and emptying trash cans. Parents will have the option this year of paying out of volunteer hours if they do not want to volunteer hours. This fee is high intentionally to discourage this option and encourage parents to be active volunteers within the organization
This fee includes your registration fee and a non-refundable $50
fundraiser fee. This years fundraiser will be raffle tickets which you
will receive at the time of equipment pick-up. Once you sell those
tickets you keep the money in order to recover your $50.
NOTE* This is the first fee increase for REGISTRATION FEES in over 5 YEARS. The reason fees had to be increased is that the COunty increased its league fees, referre fees and equipment reconditioning cost increased dramatically. We can do additional fundraising efforts to help reduce costs but this means we need everyone's cooperation in participating in all fundraisers..

Web Page and printing out the Registration Form, Player Contract and
release (if release is needed), and the Sports Code of Conduct, filling
them out in their entirety and mailing them along with you payment to:

Regardless of your form of registration please ensure that
you get an accurate weight for your player and include it on
the space provided on the registration form. Please to not guess or
estimate.
Families with special financial needs and circumstances should contact
the football commissioner to discuss any assitance needed.

2009 Severn Seminoles Football Program
I can hardly believe that we are about to embark on our 2009 Severn Seminole Football Season. Just seems as though we put out cleats away and were getting ready for the holiday Season.
It is said, that it takes a community to raise a child and I believe that to be very true. Both on and off the field, Our Coaches are engaged in the community and staying involved in our players lives, not because they are football players for SAC, but because they are part of our community and we know the value in developing our most precious resource, our children.
I want to encourage and challenge each Coach, player and parent to be engaged this season, lets make 2009 even more spectacular that 2008. I look foward to serving as your commissioner and will look to each of you, to be a part of the most special family that I have had the pleasure to be associated with, the Severn Seminoles.
