Lady Rockets came away with a victory against the ACA Lady Lions, with a final score of 5 to 0. Scoring the goals were Megan M. with 2 goals, Celesta E., Alicia W. and Nina S. each with a goal, and assisting tonight was Karissa G. (2) and Nina S.  Both Megan M. and Alicia W. scored their goals from penalty kicks.  GK Dallas W. coming away with the shutout. Great victory LADIES!

Lady Rockets will host Asheville Christian Academy Lady Lions on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m.  This will be a Varsity only game.  Hopefully we will have good weather, so please come out and show your support for the Lady Rockets!!!

After playing in rain soaking conditions, again, the Lady Rockets, after overtime, came away with a tie of 1 to 1 against the Asheville High Lady Cougars.  Sophomore Megan McCallister the only scorer of the night off a penalty kick.  Outstanding job by goalie Dallas Warren making numerous saves on the night.  

Lady Rockets will travel to Asheville High for a conference game against the Lady Cougars.  JV will begin at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m.  Looks like it will be a wet game, but come out and show your support for the Ladies in what will be a good matchup.  GO LADY ROCKETS!!!!

What a wonderful way to open the first home conference game of the season, by the Lady Rockets shutting out the NB Lady Black Hawks by a score of 4 to 0!!  Goal scorers for the evening were Sophomores Megan McCallister and Zoe Lewis and Freshmen Karissa Grooms and Christina Shimshock.  Assists go to Freshman Ashlyn Perkins and Sophomores Megan McCallister (2) and Makayla Ballenger.  Congrats to Goalkeeper Halee Wright for her second shut out of the season!  WAY TO GO LADY ROCKETS!!!!

Some news from the Rockets Boys team.  Senior captain Ed Diez has accepted an invitation to play in the East / West All-Star Game this July in Greensboro.  This game features 18 of the top seniors in the state who will be placed on the West team.  Ed had a fantastic season, culminating in his selection as Team MVP, and all-conference and all-region recognition.  Congratulations Ed!  Here is a link:

The Lady Rockets will be hosting the North Buncombe Lady Black Hawks in the first home conference game battle of the season.  JV will play at 5 p.m. and Varsity will kick off at 7 p.m.  Come out and brave the cold to show your support for your LADY ROCKETS!  GO ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets come away with a win against Erwin Lady Warriors with a final score of 9 to 0 with the referee calling the game on the 9th goal pursuant to the mercy rule.  There was 22 minutes remaining in the second half when the game was called.  Earning the goals tonight were Megan M. with a hat trick, Bre T. and Karissa G. each scoring 2, and Megan C. and Zoe L. with 1 each.  Assists came from Alicia W. with 2, and Emily G., Karissa G., Makayla B., Megan M., Rochelle C. and Nina S.  Job well done ladies!!

The Lady Rockets will be traveling to Erwin this afternoon for a conference game matchup, which will begin at 5 p.m.  Since Erwin does not field a JV team, Reynolds JV team will be traveling to play against Asheville High.  That game will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Wish our Ladies good luck this afternoon!  GO ROCKETS!!!!

At the request of the North Buncombe Coach, the game against North Buncombe will be held on Thursday, March 14, with JV beginning at 5 pm and Varsity at 7 pm at AC Reynolds.

The Lady Rockets traveled to Chattanooga over the weekend to play some games in nearby North Georgia.  On Friday night the girls fell behind 2-0 to an undefeated Heritage High School team before tying the game up at halftime behind 2 goals from sophomore Zoe Lewis.  After sophomore Megan McCallister scored to put the Lady Rockets up 3-2 early in the 2nd half.  The Heritage girls had tremendous speed and were able to run past the Rockets defense twice in the closing minutes, sending ACR to their first loss on the season by a score of 4-3.  

Lady Rockets came out on top, sloshing through a very soaking game.  Megan McCallister scored both goals, with assists from Alicia Wood and Nina Stapleton.

Wednesday's game at Tuscola is being switched to Tuesday at 6:00 for a varsity only contest due to the pending wintry mix heading our way for Wednesday.  The JV game will be made up at a later date.  Please make a note of it!

Lady Rockets will travel to TC Roberson High School on Friday, March 1 for a 5 p.m. game with Hickory High School.  On Saturday, the Lady Rockets will again be at TC Roberson in a matchup with Charlotte Catholic at noon.  Come out and support your Lady Rockets!

Lady Rockets come away with a huge win over Watauga Lady Pioneers with a final score of 7 to 1!  Megan McCallister earned her second hat trick in a row, with Karissa Grooms, Makayla Ballenger, Ashlyn Perkins and Bre Tate with one goal each.  Assisting in these goals were Megan Cavagnini (3), Megan M., Bre T., Celesta Edge and Christina Shimshock.  The Lady Rockets are looking strong with Senior Captain Alicia Wood leading a strong defense and GK Dallas Warren coming away with 5 saves.  AWESOME JOB LADIES!

Lady Rockets will be hosting Watauga Lady Pioneers in a non-conference match up tomorrow evening, February 27, with the JV game to begin at 5 p.m. and Varsity to start promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Come on out and show your support for your LADY ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets in their season opening home game against East Henderson walked away with a victory of 8 to 2!  Megan McCallister and Zoe Lewis each had three goals, with Rochelle Close and Karissa Grooms scoring a goal, with assists from Makayla Ballenger, Megan McCallister, Megan Cavagnini, Mo Judson, Nina Stapleton and Breona Tate.  What a great way to start the season off Ladies!

The varsity soccer team will open up the 2013 season on Thursday night, 2/21 with an Endowment game against the East Henderson Eagles.  Kick off is set for 6:00.  There is no JV game.

The AC Reynolds Rockets are a 4A team playing in the Mountain Athletic Conference. The Rockets home stadium, RL Dalton Stadium, is one of the most beautiful settings in the state- surrounded by mountains and steep cedar cliffs. The home field setting is enhanced by the great fan support the team regularly receives at their games. The Rockets and Lady Rockets have combined to win 9 conference championships, most recently in 2011 as the Lady Rockets captured the outright MAC crown with a 3-2 win at TC Roberson on the last game of regular season.
