The ATBA Board would like to thank all of the players, parents, coaches, families, sponsors, umpires, and volunteers for a great season. This couldn't have happened without you all.
We look forward to the 2010 season and check back periodically for updates on the schedule to get things rolling. The first item will be a coaches meeting in mid February. Sign ups should start around then.
Again, thank you for your support!
Special Congrats to the following two teams....
The T-Ball Red Sox finished third in the state tournament here in Athens and the Junior Braves finished fourth in the state tournament in Brownwood.
Great job! Your represented the Athens community well!
Congratulations to Our Tournament Qualifying Teams
The following teams have qualified to represent the ATBA and the Athens Community in tournament play.
T-Ball
American League
1st Place - Red Sox - Played in the state tournament that was hosted in Athens during the week of July 27th.
2nd Place - Rangers - played in the district tournament in Edgewood during the week of July 13th.
T-Ball
National League
1st Place - Cardinals - Played in the state tournament that was hosted in Athens during the week of July 27th.
2nd Place - Braves - played in the district tournament in Edgewood during the week of July 13th.
Jr. Midget
1st Place - Diamond Backs
2nd Place - Rangers
Both teams played in the district tournament here in Athens the week of July 13th.
Sr. Midget
1st Place - Indians
2nd Place - Brewers
Both teams played in the district tournament in Edgewood the week of July 13th. The Indians took second place and the Brewers finished third.
Freshman
1st Place - Cubs
2nd Place - Athletics
Both teams played in the district tournament here in Athens the week of July 13th. The Cubs won the tournament and traveled to Ennis to play in the state tournament, the week of July 27th. The Athletics finished second.
Junior
1st Place - Braves
2nd Place - Tigers
Both teams received a bye to the state tournament in Brownwood the week of July 27th.
