Congratulations to 13U Superstar Nick Fontana
Nick was recently asked to be a member of
MOEMS (Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools). MOEMS is
a nonprofit public foundation which provides opportunies for students to engage
in creative problem solving. FBMS math teachers selected a few students from
each cluster based on math logic, reasoning ability, enthusiasm, and high
performance scores in Mathematics. Nick's team teacher referred to them as
Mathletes.......he attended his first practice last week and enjoyed
it! Nick we're all so proud of you, Keep up the Great Work!!
Bay State Bulldogs 10U-This week's featured players
Korey Howard - Excellent all around player and athlete who goes all
out all the time. A lefty pitcher and first baseman who has a great
feel for the game. An excellent addition to the Bulldogs program.
Korey splits his time between the diamond and rink!
Matt Stanish - Perfect mold for the Bulldogs. Versatile player who
really came on strong during the summer All Stars. Matt can play most
of the infield positions as well as the outfield. Matt likes to play
soccer when not on the diamond.
Cameron Thoms - #1 starter for the Hanson All Stars. Had an
excellent summer season both on the mound and at the plate and is an
excellent fielder with a strong arm. We are excited to have him join
the Bulldogs.
Ryan Sawtelle - Ryan has been around the Bulldogs program for a few
years and has really benefited on the field as a result. A catcher,
infielder and pitcher on his summer All Star team. A solid stick from
the left side of the plate who contributed a key homerun in a summer
All Star playoff game. Also enjoys hockey in the 'offseason.'
Jimmy Dolan - Another great addition to the Bulldogs program. Jimmy
is a threat every time he steps to the plate or takes the mound. Jimmy
has a 'Bulldog' mentantility and is great leader.
Brendan Ward-This kid is a Bulldog through and through. His sweet lefty swing would make any Bulldog drool!!! He's a focused player who can play any position and will be one to watch in 2010.
