Fall 2013 Registration
The BYSA is looking forward to an exciting fall season. This year we are once again offering 3 ways to register: online, in person (May 18 and June 1), and by mail. Spread the word and get registered. Follow the Registration link on the left to complete your online registration, or to download the form for in-person registration.
Start Registration Here
Please don’t wait to sign-up! A lot of work goes into team formation and it makes the process go much easier if we’re not trying to do it all at the last minute.
We will also need coaches, especially at the U6 and U7 levels. Don’t be afraid to volunteer even if you have little soccer knowledge. Head coaches can always use parents to manage kids, help with drills or games, and be Soccer Parents (Handling team logistics so the coach can concentrate on coaching).
Important Dates:
· May 18th & June 1st – In-Person Registrations, 10am-2pm at Bethel-Tate Middle School.
· July 1st – All registrations, fees, and medical forms are due for returning players.
· Late July/Early August – Team formation and practices begin.
· August 24th – Season begins for all ages.

Age Brackets:
The age brackets below are determined by the date of birth. Four and five year olds play together in U6. This bracket is also COED and will play 8 games, mostly on Saturday. Thirteen and fourteen year olds play together in the U14 age bracket. U7 and up will play 10 games in the regular season and have the option of playing in the post-season tournaments (the number of games depends on the number of teams participating).

Challenger Sports Camp
Bethel Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce a year of partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA’s most popular soccer camp, to host the week long British Soccer camp during the week of June 10th – 14that BYSA Soccer Fields.
The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger will hold over 3,800 British Soccer Camps this summer and will coach over 130,000 players between the ages of 6 and 14, as well as completing FREE coach education clinics for over 30,000 parents and coaches.
Challenger’s British Soccer Camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Each camp is custom built to meet the needs of your players so Challenger will be directed by the organization on the content of the camp that they too require.
Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online by April 26th will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39. For further information please visit www.challengersports.com.

The camp will focus on foot skills, team work, and rules of the game. Campers really enjoy Coach Jack's unique style and look forward to the nicknames that Coach Jack gives to the players, playing street soccer and learning new daily "trickies".

Concussion Training Mandated by State Law for ALL COACHES AND REFEREES
A new Ohio law mandates that all coaches, assistant coaches, and referees to obtain specialized training in recognizing the symptoms of concussions and head injuries every three years. Click here for a summary of the requirements for coaches and umpires.
BYSA requires every coach, assistant coach, and referee to successfuly complete the free online concussion training prior the first game. The training will take less than 30 minutes and will require that you print a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the video.
Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports is a free, online course available to coaches, parents, and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion. It features interviews with leading experts, dynamic graphics and interactive exercises, and compelling storytelling to help you recognize a concussion and know how to respond if you think that your athlete might have a concussion. Once you complete the training and quiz, you must print out the certificate, and provide a copy to BYSA.
