    BOLINBROOK GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB

The Bolingbrook Girls Basketball Club is a 501(C)(3)non-profit organization serving as the official feeder program for the Bolingbrook High School Lady Raiders. Although, we like winning, winning is not our main objective. Our program will stress fundamental basketball skills, attacking man to man defense, emphasizing the ability to excute the fundamentals are essential for successful play.

We serve Valley View Shool District 365U schools and emphasize players loyalty and commitment to their school team. We operate under the guidance of Bolingbrook High School Coach Anthony Smith. Practices will be held at Hermansen Elementary School, and Bolingbrook High School. Our practice are very competitive. We will participate in league play and tournaments.

We expect honest, dedicated, respectful and hard working players, whose goal is to play on the next level. Our coaches will apply the 3-step method of teaching: Tell, Show and Drill.

    Playing Time
    January 15, 2007 - 09:15 PM

                                                                                  Playing Time

AAU is the most competitive form of basketball in America for school age players. The top AAU teams are usually better than the top school teams because the top AAU teams are school All-star teams. Even the middle level AAU teams are very competitive.  Playing time in the AAU is earned. Most teams have a 12 player roster, but few coaches and teams have a 12 player rotation. Coaches have to play the top eight players a lot for them to develop and for them to develop a rhythm in any particular game. The starters are not always the biggest or fastest or even necessarily the best five players on the team. Playing time is earned through:
    1. Practice attendance
    2. Working hard
    3. Willingness to be a team player
    4. Overall attitude & work ethic
    5. Skill level
Every players will be given a chance. However, we'll go with a rotation of players who we feel will give us  the best opportunity to accomplish our goal.
