The Columbus Big Katz 10U team made an impressive showing on championship Sunday to claim the Teays Valley National Qualifier Championship.  After a bit of a struggle in pool play, the bats came alive as the Katz outscored their competition 49-6 in elimination play.  They completed their 5-0 weekend with a 9-1 victory over a solid Prosser Storms ballclub.  The day was highlighted by a 3-run home run off the bat of Tyler Brown in their quarterfinal contest and a go-ahead grand slam by Drew McLuckie in the semis, but it was a great team effort throughout the day that led them to the title.  Congratulations 10U Big Katz!!!

The 11U Big Katz dominated the Dublin Early Bird Classic capturing the championship April 19.  In 5 tournament games, the Katz outscored their opponents 71-6.  They completed their 5-0 weekend with an 8-0 victory over the host Dublin Green Sox.  Congratulations to Coach Bill Stoddard and his players!!
