Team Update from Scott Widner (Katie's Dad)
I am extremely happy to report to all of you that the AYSC board met recently and has recruited an excellent and exciting coach to lead and further develop this team. His name is Rudy Chavez.
This season the team will advance to a LEVEL II competition and the players will be challenged more than last season. Tryout info. is below. Additional information will be posted on this competitive website as it is finalized. I encourage everyone, to show up at tryouts to meet Rudy and the team so you can gain a first hand impression of the coach. Rudy will be selecting the assistant coaching positions, as this has not been determined yet. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me (8635287019), Jim Jordan (AYSC President 8636022649), Cara's Mom (Tonia Quintinella-8638083820) or Rudy Chavez (3034753978) to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

And the Surveys said.........
The girls have spoken and we will listen. The most important improvement for the team for next year is accountability. The girls want action in a couple areas.
1. They want attendance for practice to improve and have penalties for missed practices.
2. They want harder practices with a higher level skill for each practice.
3. They want to be more serious.
They gave us some insight that we felt also needed improvement. This team won, had fun, bonded and really enjoyed this season overall.
It will be more on the girls next year to show responsibility and accountability to get better, be on time and work harder.
Soccer Academy is OPEN!
Vic (Associate Head Coach) from the University of Florida contacted me to let our players have the opportunity to go to the University of Florida to play at their facilities for a camp. Registration is ongoing and the link to their website is: Gatorzone Soccer Academy
Erin (Head Coach)from the University of Tampa has also contacted me and you girls are popular! You're also invited there for camp this summer. Their website link is: University of Tampa
I have received numerous invitations to 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 6v6 and 11v11 tournaments for the entire summer. If any of you are interested, I can forward the information to you to see if it may be something you would want to compete in.
I will keep you informed of any changing or new information.
Have Fun!
New Soccer Camps Signing Up!
This summer's soccer camps are already starting signups. The University of Tampa, USF and UF are really good camps that they can stay over. If you want day camps, USF, Challenger and Sasvari camps would be good ones. If they are serious about soccer, they should get in a camp and get a different angle about the game. I have some links in the "Links" menu.
Soccer Camps
There are also camps at: University of Tampa, UCF, USF, UF, FSU; there is the British Challenger Camps in: Winter Haven, Haines City, and Lake Wales. Any of these are Team recommended soccer training camps. The Universities are really good, fun camps. Click on the links for more information.
