Elk Grove Gunners 4, Bombers Blue 3 (Championship Game)
In game 1 vs Bandits Baseball Club (Red), the Bombers Blue played 8 great innings and fought and clawed to pull out the win. The Bandits struck first and scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning. The Bombers tied it at 2-2 with a 2 spot in the bottom of the 3rd and took the lead with a single run in the 4th. The Bandits excuted well in the top of the 6th and tied the score at 3 and sent the game to extra frames. Then the Bandits appeared to take the game by scoring two runs in the top of the 7th but the never say die Bombers scored two of their own in the bottom half to send the game to an 8th inning. The Bandits went 1-2-3 in their half of the inning and the Bombers won the game with Nick Medina getting a great read on a wild pitch and scoring the winning run. Jacob Rebar started on the mound and allowed just 2 runs in three innings. Nick Medina threw the next 3 innings an kept the Bandits offense to a minimum. Tyler Schlotter threw the 8th inning and picked up his 8th win of the season. The hitting star of the game was Kyle Hunt who went 2-4 and slugged a home run. He also stole 2 bases. Taylor Mellick and Matt Case had rbi singles. Jacob Rebar smoked a bomb to right for a triple. Nick Medina pounded a double. Other hits came from Jared Finney, Chris Ramon, Greg Guillen and Tyler Schlotter. Final score, Bombers Blue 6, Bandits (Red) 5. (8 innings)
In game 2 vs the Sidewinders, the Bombers scored four runs in the 1st inning, six runs in each the 2nd and 3rd innings and won in 3 innings by mercy rule. Tyler Schlotter started on the mound and threw 2 innings. He picked up his 9th win of the season. Chris Ramon pitched the final inning and struck out 2. Kyle Hunt was at it again. He went 2-3 with a home run, double and a whopping 5 rbi's. Chris Ramon went 2-2 and had 2 rbi's and 3 runs scored. Taylor Mellick went 2-2 with an rbi. Jacob Rebar also had a hit and 2 rbi's. Other runs scoring singles came from Greg Guillen, Nick Medina and Matt Case. Antonio Gigliotti had a line drive double down the right field line and Tyler Schlotter added a hit as well. Final score, Bombers 16, Sidewinders 1.
In game 3 vs Athletic Edge, the Bombers once again jumped out early and put away their opponent. They scored three in the first, two in the second, 2 in the 3rd and single runs in the 4th and 5th innings. Kyle Hunt continued his monster tourney by slugging 2 more home runs and driving in 4 runs. He also picked up his first win as a Bomber throwing 2 2/3 innings. Tyler Schlotter threw well and Nick Medina came in and picked up the save recording the last 5 outs. Troy Dennett went 2-2 and executed a perfect squeeze bunt to score a run. Nick Medina went 2-3. Taylor Mellick had an rbi triple. Jacob Rebar and Jared Finney had rbi singles. Tyler Schlotter also had a hit. Chris Ramon swiped 3 bases. Final score, Bombers Blue 9, Athletic Edge 5.
In the semi final game vs Napa Valley JBC (Blue), the Bombers had to play catch up early. In the 2nd inning, Napa Valley scored 5 runs on combination of walks, errors and timely hits. However, in the top of the 3rd inning, the Bombers bats came alive. The had big hit after big hit to pull within a run. The Bombers then took the lead 6-5 after 3 1/2 innings. Napa Valley would tie the game at 6-6 after 4 innings. The next 2 frames were scoreless and the game went to extra innngs. In the 7th inning, the Bombers put 2 runs across and Nick Medina threw a scoreless 7th to send the Bombers to the Championship Game. Jacob Rebar went the first 3 innings on the hill. Nick Medina threw the final 4 innings and picked up the win. Matt Case hammered a 2 run home run for the Bombers. Nick Medina went 2-4 and had a 2 run triple. Taylor Mellick also went 2-4 with an rbi triple. Chris Ramon had a hit and 2 rbi's and Kyle Hunt had an rbi single as well. Troy Dennett had a key double and scored the go ahead run in the 7th inning. Greg Guillen and Jacob Rebar added hits as well. Final score, Bombers Blue 8, Napa Valley JBC (Blue) 6. (7 innings)

In game 1 vs the Solano Blast, the Bombers jumped in front 5-1 after 2 innings. The Blast scored 2 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to tie the score at 5-5. The Bombers Blue rallied for 3 runs in the 5th inning to put the game out of reach. Tyler Schlotter pitched 3 1/3 innings and picked up his 7th win of the year. Kyle Hunt threw 2 2/3 innings. Cameron Hoff had 2 hits, 2 rbi and a steal. Thomas Greely, Antonio Gigliotti and Kyle Hunt each collected hits as well. Final score Bombers Blue 8, Solano Blast 5.
In game 2 vs Hard 90, the Bombers once again struck first and after 2 innings, they led 4-0. However, several errors and walks allowed Hard 90 back in the game and they evened the score 4-4. The Bombers collected single runs in the 3rd and 4th innings. In the final inning, the score 6-5 Bombers, Hard 90 had a rally. They had bases loaded, 1 out. Tyler Schlotter was called on to pitched and the Hard 90 batter hit a shallow fly ball between shortstop and left field. Cameron Hoff made a great play over his shoulder, stopped and threw a strike to cut down the tying run at home. Jacob Rebar started and went 3 innings. he picked up his 7th win of the season. Tyler Schlotter picked up his first save of the season. Kyle Hunt had an rbi single. Cameron Hoff also drove in a run. Final score, Bombers Blue 6, Hard 90 5.
In the semi final game vs the Benicia Capitols it was a back and forth affair. The Bombers Blue struck first with 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning but the Capitols rallied to score 3 runs in the bottom half. It was this way the entire game. The Bombers Blue took a brief lead in the top of the sixth but the Capitols scored 2 runs in the bottom half, the last coming on a walk off sac fly. Jacob Rebar threw 6 solid innings but there were some defensive errors behind him that allowed several unearned runs to score. Kyle Hunt was a monster at the plate. He pounded a triple and double, knocked in a run, scored 3 runs and stole 3 bases. Thomas Greely had 2 hits and 2 rbi's as well. Brandon Russell added an rbi double to deep left field. Final score Benicia Capitols 8, Bombers Blue 7.

2009 TPR Nations "Combat Baseball" @ Rainbow Fields Modesto Oct 10/11
The Bombers Blue had a solid weekend going 3 wins and 1 loss in the 2 day event. They took their second straight 2nd place finish.

In game 1 vs the Lodi Legends, the Bombers bats exploded. They scored 5 in the 1st inning, 4 in the 2nd inning, 2 in each of the next three innings. They had 15 hits. Tyler Schlotter started on the mound and picked up his 6th win of the season. Cameron Hoff, Chris Ramon and Greg Guillen also pitched very well. Chris Ramon was the offensive star going 4 for 4 with 3 doubles, 4 rbi's and 3 runs scored. Cameron Hoff went 2 for 2 with 2 rbi's. Nick Medina had 2 hits including a double and 2 rbi's. Taylor Mellick had 2 hits and 3 runs scored. Other hits came from Thomas Greely, Tyler Schlotter, Greg Guillen and Jacob Rebar. Final score, Bombers Blue 15, Legends 4.
In game 2 vs the Lamorinda Monarchs, both sides had great pitching. The Monarchs struck first with a run in the 2nd inning. The Bombers bounced back and scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning. The Monarchs rallied to score one more in the 5th inning but Nick Medina shut them down from there. Jacob Rebar started on the mound. He went 3 innings and allowed just one run. He picked up his 6th win of the season. Nick Medina threw the final 3 frames. He struck out 6 and picked up the save. The Bombers managed just 4 hits. Jared Finney, Cameron Hoff, Chris Ramon and Jacob Rebar had 1 hit each. The final score, Bombers Blue 3, Lamorinda Monarchs 2.
In the semi final game vs the Stanislaus Sting, the Sting jumped out to an early 3-0 first inning lead. The Bombers then trailed 4-2 before they came to life. They posted 3 in the third inning, 2 in the fourth inning and a single run in the fifth inning. Jared Finney started on the mound and threw 4 innings. He picked up the win. Nick Medina came in and struck out the next 6 hitters to close the door and pick up the save. Nick Medina also added a 2 run single. Jared Finney was 2 for 2 with an rbi. Greg Guillen drove in a run as well with a single. Final score, Bombers Blue 8 Stanislaus Sting 6.
In the championship game vs the Lamorinda Monarchs, it was a back and forth game. Lamorinda jumped up 2-0 after an inning and 4-0 after 2 1/2 innings. Then the Bombers loaded the bases but had a runner picked off first. The very next pitch Nick Medina launched a 3-run bomb over the right center field wall to close the gap to 4-3. Lamorinda stretched the lead to 7-3 but the Bombers kept coming. They scored a single run in the fifth inning and posted a 3 run 6th inning rally to send the game to extra innings. After a scoreless 7th inning, Lamorinda capitalized on a couple walks to score 3 runs and seal the deal. Jacob Rebar, Nick Medina and Kyle Hunt all threw for the Bombers and did a nice job. Medina was the hitting star with the 3 run homer and a laser shot double. Cameron Hoff and Tyler Schlotter each drove in runs. Greg Guillen, Kyle Hunt and Troy Dennett each collected base hits. Final score, Lamorinda Monarchs 10, Bombers Blue 7 (8 innings)

In game 1 vs The Defenders, the Bombers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. Tyler Schlotter threw 5 1/3 innings, allowing just 1 earned run and only 2 hits. It was Schlotter's 3rd win of the season. Antonio Gigliotti had 2 hits and 3 rbi's. Jacob Rebar pounded an rbi double and had 2 stolen bases. Jared Finney had 2 hits and an rbi. Tyler Schlotter had a double. Other hits came from Chris Ramon, Greg Guillen and Taylor Mellick. Cameron Hoff closed out the game on the mound to seal the victory. Final score, Bombers Blue 7, Defenders 3.
In game 2 vs The Lightning, the Bombers gave up 2 in the first inning but answered back with 3 in their half of the first inning, 2 runs in both the second and third innings. They had a 7-4 lead going into the fourth inning but did not score again. The Lightning rallied for three runs in the fifth inning and one in the sixth inning, large in part to poor Bombers defense. The Bombers had runners in scoring position in the sixth inning but failed to push a run across for at least a tie. Top offensive players for the Bombers were Chris Ramon who went 3 for 3 with a steal. Troy Dennett had an rbi triple to the left/center gap. Jacob Rebar had a double and 2 rbi's. Tyler Schlotter and Greg Guillen each had 2 hits. Other hits came from Jared Finney and Antonio Gigliotti. Final score, Lightning 8, Bombers Blue 7.
In game 3 vs Team Kado, the Bombers struck for two runs in the first inning and kept adding on. Jared Finney threw a complete game shut-out, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 4. This was Finney's 3rd win of the season. Taylor Mellick and Matt Case paced the offense. Case had a sinlge, triple and a run batted in. Mellick had a single, double, stolen base and a run batted in. Other hits came from Chris Ramon and Antonio Gigliotti. Final score, Bombers Blue 8, Team Kado 0.
In the semi-final game vs the Junior Balers, it proved to be a match up of two very solid pitchers. The Balers grabbed a 2-0 lead early but the Bombers posted a two spot in the second inning to tie the game. It remained 2-2 all the way until the sixth inning. Both pitchers were on their games and were retiring hitter after hitter. The Balers scored a couple of controversial runs in the top of the sixth inning after a call reversal. The Bombers rallied to get a run in the bottom of the sixth but left the tying and winning runs on second and third base. Jacob Rebar threw his 2nd complete game of the year. It was one of his finest outtings as a Bomber. The Bombers could only collect four hits in the game. Chris Ramon had 2 hits. Jacob Rebar helped his own cause with a lined gap shot double which scored a run. Taylor Mellick also had a base hit. Final score, Junior Balers 4, Bombers Blue 3.

In game 1 vs Team MVP (LLB) 13U, the Bombers Blue played tough the whole way vs the older LLB. LLB grabbed a 4-0 lead after 3 1/2 innings but the Bombers Blue stormed back and tied the game at 4-4 after 4 innings. LLB took the lead for good, posting a 2 spot in the top of the 5th inning. The Bombers scored again in the 6th inning to close gap to 6-5 but left a runner in scoring position to end the game. Jared Finney had a 2 run double and Matt Case had an rbi single. Noah Denoyer also added a hit. Taylor Mellick had an rbi. Chris Ramon gave up just 2 earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of work. Tyler Schlotter also threw a shut out inning. Final Score, Team MVP 6, Bombers Blue 5.
In game 2 vs the Stanislaus Sting, the Bombers were very flat. The Sting jumped out to an early lead but the Bombers tied it at 1-1 after a Jared Finney rbi single. The Bombers offense and defense took a break and after four innings of play, the score was 5-1. The Bombers had a couple late comeback attempts only to fall short. Cameron Hoff had 2 hits and a stolen base. Thomas Greely and Chris Ramon had a single and a steal each. Final Score, Sting 5, Bombers 3.
In game 3 vs the Tracy Outlaws, the Bombers came out on fire. They score in every inning including big innings of 6 in the second inning and 3 runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Chris Ramon picked his first win as a Bomber. He threw 4 innings and struck out 3. Cameron Hoff threw the final shutout inning. Chris Ramon also had 2 hits, 2 rbis and a stolen base. Noah Denoyer had a single, double, rbi and 2 steals. Matt Case had a single, triple, rbi and a steal. Othwer Bombers hits came from Taylor Mellick, Thomas Greely, Jacob Rebar and Greg Guillen. Cameron Hoff had 2 rbi's. Final score Bombers Blue 13, Outlaws 2.
In the semi-final game vs Bombers Orange, the Orange struck first with 5 runs in the second inning. That was all they needed as the Orange blanked the Blue. The Orange plated 2 more runs in the fifth inning. Bombers Blue hits came from Thomas Greely and Noah Denoyer. Final score Bombers Orange 7, Bombers Blue 0.

In game 1 vs the Solano Storm, the Bombers Blue gave away an early unearned run to put the Storm on top 1-0. In the bottom of the 2nd the Bombers scored 2 runs and took the lead. The game went back and forth with the Storm tying the game at 2-2 after 4 and 1/2 innings. The Bombers then capitalized on an error and 2 walks to put together 2 runs, making the score 4-2 after 5 innings. The Storm had a rally of their own and tied the game at 4-4 going to the bottom of the 6th, where "Mr. Walk Off" Antonio Gigliotti had another game ending walk off single to win it for the Bombers. Tyler Schlotter threw 4 1/3 great innings, allowing 0 earned runs and struck out 3. Jared Finney picked up the win. Matt Case had a single, double, 2 rbi's and a steal for the Bombers. Taylor Mellick had a single and a double as well. Cameron Hoff had an rbi single. Nick Burnham and Jared Finney collected hits as well. Final Score Bombers Blue 5, Solano Storm 4.
In game 2 vs the Solano Blast, the Bombers Blue came out with much better intensity and immediately went up 10-0 after 2 innings. Jacob Rebar threw 2 1/3 innings of perfect baseball. 7 up, 7 down. He picked up his second win of the year. Taylor Mellick and Cameron Hoff each posted scoreless frames as well. Hitting stars for the Bombers Blue were Taylor Mellick who had 2 singles, double and 1 rbi. Matt Case went 2-2 and had 2 rbis and a stolen base. Antonio Gigliotti had an rbi single as did Jared Finney. The best part of the Bombers game was on defense where they did not commit a single error. Final score Bombers Blue 10, Solano Blast 0.
In the semi final game vs the Clayton Valley Outlaws, the Bombers came out on fire. They scored 5 runs in the first inning which was all Jacob Rebar would need on the mound. The Bombers tacked on single runs in the 4th and 5th innings to make the margin for error larger. Jacob Rebar threw his first complete game and picked up his 3rd win of the season. He gave up just 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out a season high 9. The Bombers once again played errorless ball for the 2nd straight game. Offensive stars were Taylor Mellick who had a single and a double. Matt Case had a single, double and an rbi as well. Greg Guillen and Thomas Greely each had rbi singles. Troy Dennett had a stolen base and a run scored. Jacob Rebar had a long double to right. Jared Finney and Tyler Schlotter each added hits in the win. Final score Bombers Blue 7, Clayton Valley Outlaws 2.
In the Championship Game vs the Bay Area Bandits, some sloppy defense, walks and mental lapses helped the Bandits jump to a 3-0 lead. The Bandits capitalized on every mistake made early on. The Bombers Blue were blanked by the Bandits pitcher for 3 innings. Jared Finney lasted 3 1/3 innings and Noah Denoyer was called in to keep the game within reach. As Denoyer and Finney combined to shut down the Bandits in the fourth, the Bombers came and posted a run to get it closer. Denoyer then shut them down in the 5th which is when the Blue came back and tied the game at 3. Matt Case had the game tying single. In the 6th inning, Denoyer allowed a walk and a single. Tyler Schlotter was called on to keep the damage to a minimum. Schlotter did get the next 2 hitters but the Bandits were able to plate a run. Going into the bottom of the sixth, the Bombers Blue made quick work to get the comeback completed. Jacob Rebar walked and promptly stole second base. The next pitch, Jared Finney hammered to left field the scored Rebar. The throw went to the plate so Finney took second. That set the table for the 2nd walk off win of the tourney. Noah Denoyer smoked a shot to left field that scored Finney with the winning run. Tyler Schlotter was the pitcher of record and picked up his 2nd win of the season. Other hitting stars for the Bombers were Antonio Gigliotti, Greg Guillen and Thomas Greely who each had hits. Final score Bombers Blue 5, Bay Area Bandits 4

2009 USSSA Fremont "2010 Season Kick Off" Aug 8/9
The Bombers Blue placed 3rd in their first tournament of the season and as 12U. They went 4 wins, 1 loss in the 2 day event (USSSA Fremont Season Kick Off). Congratulations to the Bombers Orange who won the tournament going an undefeated 6 and 0.

In game 1 vs the Mudcats, the Bombers Blue came out and started the offense quickly. They scored 2 in the first, 4 in the second and 4 in the third to grab a 10-0 lead. Tyler Schlotter went the distance on the mound. He allowed just 3 hits and no earned runs. He struck out 5 as well. Hitting stars were Jacob Rebar who had a huge double. Thomas Greely also had a nice game with a single, 2 runs, rbi and a stolen base. Cameron Hoff chipped in with a single and 2 steals of his own. In game 2 vs the Solano Blast, once again the Bombers scored early and often. They scored at least 1 run in each inning including a 3 spot in the second. Jacob Rebar started on the mound and allowed no runs, just 2 hits and struck out 3. He picked up his first win of the new season. Jared Finney threw the closing inning and it was in shutout fashion. The Bombers had 10 hits in the game. Taylor Mellick had 2 hits, 2 rbi and 2 runs scored. Finney had an rbi double. Rebar had an rbi single as did Nick Burnham. Other Bombers with hits were Troy Dennett, Tyler Schlotter, Chris Ramon, Greg Guillen and Antonio Gigliotti. Final score, Bombers 8, Solano Blast 0.
In game 3 vs the Bat Blackhawks, the Bombers gave up early runs and had to play catch up most of the game. They left numerous runners on base and made some mental errors which cost some runs on the basepaths. Jared Finney came in and threw 3 solid relief innings, allowing just 1 unearned run. He picked up his first win of the new season. Chris Ramon came in the final inning to close it out with a shutout inning of his own. Jacob Rebar was the big bat with a hit and 2 rbi. Cameron Hoff was 2 for 2 with 2 steals. Nick Burnham had an rbi single. Taylor Mellick chipped in with a hit and Ramon drove home a run. Final score, Bombers Blue 8, Bat Blackhawks 4.
In game 4 vs the Mudcats, the Bombers came out looking very shaky in the 1st inning on defense. They made several physical and mental errors in helping the Mudcats jump to an early lead. Once they settled in it was all Bombers. Thomas Greely threw a solid 3 innings, Chris Ramon had a decent couple of inning pitched and Cameron Hoff slammed the door shut to move to the semi-final game. Taylor Mellick had a single, double, 3 runs scored, 2 rbi and a stolen base. Chris Ramon had 2 hits, 2 rbis and a steal. Rbi singles came from Jared Finney, Thomas Greely, Troy Dennett, Jacob Rebar and Nick Burnham. Greg Guillen added a hit as well. Final score, Bombers Blue 10, Mudcats 5.
In the semi-final game, the Bombers Orange struck first on a Robbie Ramirez single, stole second and came home on a hit. The Blue tied the score in the first on a Jared Finney rbi double. The Blue took a short lead 2-1 after 2 but in the 4th inning, the Orange bats came alive. Nick Medina pouned a home run to deep left, Dylan Von Hartman hammered a triple that was followed by another triple by Tyler Wilson. Both shots were to dead center. It looked as if the Orange would put the game out of reach with a 4 spot in the 5th inning taking an 8-3 lead. However, the never say die Bombers Blue scored 5 runs and tied the game at 8 after 5 inning of play. Once again in the sixth inning the error bug bit and the Orange capitalized taking a 10-8 lead. The Bombers Blue had the tying run on 2nd but he was cut down on a base running error as the 9th run scored. For the Orange, Nick Medina and Brevin Welch threw on the mound with Welch picking up the win. For the Blue, Jacob Rebar started and threw well. He allowed 3 earned runs in 3 1/3 innings. Tyler Schlotter threw 2/3 innings of scoreless ball to get out of the 4th. Jared Finney took his first loss of the new season while pitching the final 2 frames. Hitting stars for the Blue were Jared Finney who had a double, single and 3 rbis. Greg Guillen and Chris Ramon each had a pair of hits and drove in runs as well. In game 1 vs the Left Coast Knights, the Bombers jumped out to an early 7-0 lead after 1 inning of play. They scored 2 in the 2nd and 1 in the 3rd to win by mercy rule. Tyler Schlotter threw 2 innings and picked up his ninth win. Chris Ramon threw a great 2 innings, striking out 5 Knights hitters. Greg Guillen pounded a 2 run home run. In game 2 vs Tigers Baseball, both teams scored in the first but it was all Bombers Blue after that. They had a huge 6 run inning in the 3rd which sealed the deal. Cameron Hoff pitched a complete game and struck out 4, just allowing 1 run. The Bombers played great defense behind Hoff, not 1 error behind him. Offensive stars were Taylor Mellick who had 2 hits including a triple and an rbi. Greg Guillen was at it again with a 2 run single. Thomas Greely had an rbi triple. In game 3 vs the Bombers Orange, the Orange struck with a run in the top of the 1st but the Blue answered back with a huge 6 spot in the bottom of the 1st. Jacob Rebar was cruising through 3 innings on the mound. That was when the Orange took over. The scored 3 in the 4th and 4 in the fifth inning. The error bug bit the Bombers Blue which combined with key Orange hits opened the flood gates. The Blue scored 2 in the bottom of the 6th but Robbie Ramirez for the Orange cut down the potential tying run at the plate with a great throw. For the Orange, Dylan Von Hartman threw 5 solid innings and picked up the win. Noah Denoyer had a blast for a triple and Anthony Galindo had a clutch 2 run single to give the Orange the lead for good. For the Blue, Chris Ramon threw very well only to pick up the loss due to too many Blue errors. Ramon added an rbi single, Hoff had 2 rbis as well. Nick Burnham had an rbi single for the 3rd straight game and Antonio Gigliotti drove in a run with a hit. Tyler McLaughlin and Tucker Morris added a hit a piece as well. In game 4 vs the SJV Blues, the Blues jumped out first on a 2 run home run in the 2nd inning. The Bombers Blue answered back with a 3 run bottom half of the inning capped by a Chris Ramon 2 run double. The big inning was the Blues scoring 6 runs, taking full advantage of a couple walks and 4 Bombers errors. That was the rest of the scoring for the game. Taylor Mellick had a double. Troy Dennett and Thomas Greely had a hit each. Tyler Schlotter threw 2 scoreless innings and Taylor Mellick threw a shutout inning of his own. Final Score, SJV Blues 8, Bombers Blue 3.

The Bombers Blue took their second straight 2nd place finish in the USTBA "Shamrock Open" in Tracy on Mar. 14/15. They were 3 wins and 1 loss in the 2 day event. The Bombers Orange took first in the tourney. It was the 2nd time there has been an all Bombers Championship.

In game 1 vs the Stealth, the Bombers Blue came out swinging. They scored 11 in the first inning, 6 in the second inning and 2 in the third inning before the game was called due to the mercy rule. Every Bombers Blue player collected atleast 1 hit in the game. Greg Guillen was the hitting star with 2 hit, including a 3-run home run. He had 5 total rbi's in the game. Jared Finney finished 3-3 with a triple. Thomas Greely went 2-2 with 3 rbi's and 3 runs scored. Cameron Hoff had 2 hits and 2 rbi's. Other rbi singles came from Nick Burnham, Tyler Schlotter, Jacob Rebar and Taylor Mellick. Mellick added 2 steals as well. Troy Dennett, Tyler McLaughlin and Antonio Gigliotti had a hit each. In game 2 vs the Bay Valley Bombers Orange, the Bombers Blue scored 7 runs in the first due to walks and a few timely hits. For the Orange, Brevin welch came in and stopped the bleeding and silenced the Blue bats for a couple innings. The Bombers Blue took an 8-3 lead into the final inning but the Bombers Orange stormed back and tied the game at 8-8. Walks, a couple hits and an error evened the score. The Bombers Blue held on and scored a run in the bottom half of the inning for the win. Jacob Rebar had 2 hits and an rbi. He also pitched 2 innings and allowed just one run. Greg Guillen once again was huge at the plate. He had a single, double and 3 rbi's. Tyler Schlotter had an rbi single and Taylor Mellick added a hit of his own. In the Championship Game vs the Bombers Orange, it again was a pitchers duel. Jacob Rebar threw 4 solid innings for the Blue allowing just a couple runs. However, for the Orange, Brevin Welch was simply amazing. He kept the ball down in the strike zone and fed his defense all game long. The Bombers Orange played flawless defense behind Welch who threw 5 2/3 shut out innings of baseball. Nathan George came in and picked up the final out and the save for the Bombers Orange. The Bombers Blue were held to just 2 hits. Jared Finney and Greg Guillen had the only 2 hits. For the Orange, Robbie Ramirez had a walk and a single and scored a couple runs. In game 1 vs VYAA Bomberz, the Bombers Blue got an early wake up call. They allowed 8 runs in the first 2 innings as VYAA's bats were alive. The Bombers Blue did make a run and posted four runs in the 4th inning. Cameron Hoff had a line shot up the middle that scored 2 runs. Jacob Rebar added an rbi. Other hits came from Antonio Gigliotti and a double by Tyler Schlotter. Greg Guillen pitched the final 3 innings holding the tough VYAA Bomberz bats to just 1 run. In game 2 vs the Delta Dawgs Gold, the Bombers Blue gave up a quick run on a well manufactured run by the Dawgs. The Bombers Blue evened the score as Thomas Greely opened the bottom of the first with a line shot back up the middle. He eventually came around to score on a Tyler McLaughlin ground out. That was when Jacob Rebar took over. He shut down the Dawgs thru 5 innings. He gave up just 2 hits and was as good as he has been all year. The Bombers tacked on a couple more runs and Jared Finney came in and picked up his 7th save of the year. Rebar picked up his 5th win of the year. Nick Burnham and Finney each had rbi's. Greely went 2 for 2. Greg Guillen and Peter Van Katwyk added a hits of their own. Final score, Bombers Blue 3, Delta Dawgs Gold 1.
In the Semi-Final game vs the Head First Gamers, the Bombers Blue once again dug themselves an early hole. The Gamers bats came out on fire and they scored 2 in the first. However, the Bombers answered with 4 runs of their own. The Gamers evened the score in the 3rd with some help from a couple Bombers errors. Once again, the Bombers bounced back and grabbed a 2 run lead by posting 2 runs of their own in the 3rd. The Bombers took advantage of a big error made by the Gamers and took a 7-4 lead into the 6th. Jared Finney threw 5 tough innings. He fought off many rallies and Troy Dennett was normally his backstop making great play after great play at second base. The Gamers started the 6th inning with a triple and an rbi double. Rebar came in to relieve Finney. He recorded an out but after a walk and a hit batsman, Tyler "Goose" Schlotter was called on to pitch with the bases loaded and just one out. He recorded an out and the Gamers narrowed the gap to 7-6. With a full count, bases loaded, the Gamers hitter smoked a 1 hop shot to Troy Dennett who knocked the ball down and threw him out at first to advance the Bombers to the Championship game. Finney picked up win number seven on the year while Schlotter recorded his 2nd save. Chris Ramon had a big rbi hit, Tyler McLaughlin stayed hot with an rbi hit of his own. Greg Guillen had an rbi single and Nick Burnham added a single as well. Final score, Bombers Blue 7, Head First Gamers 6.
In the Championship Game vs VYAA Bomberz, it was a back and forth affair. The Bombers Blue jumped out to a 2-0 lead after a monsterous Jared Finney rbi triple. He then scored on a ringing liner by Greg Guillen that got by the diving VYAA second baseman. VYAA chipped away and evened the score at 2 after 2 innings. In the 4th inning, the Bombers Blue regained the lead after Jacob Rebar split the right-center gap with a laser for an rbi double. VYAA again answered back to tie the game in the 5th and it was down to the 6th and final inning to determine the champion. Troy Dennett walked to lead off, Thomas Greely then sacrifice bunted him to second. Dennett eventually scored the go-ahead run. In the bottom of the 6th, VYAA posted a rally. A walk, an error and back to back ringing shots and the VYAA squad had won it walk-off style. It was a hard fought battle. Greg Guillen threw 2 1/3 inning allowing just 2 runs. Tyler Schlotter threw 3 gut wrenching innings and competed each and every pitch. Unfortunately he took the hard luck loss. The Bombers battled adversity all day and even though they fell a tad short, they made every Bomber coach, Bomber parent and Bomber supporter very proud. Final score VYAA Bomberz 5, Bombers Blue 4.

The Bombers Blue won their 2 games of the Super NIT. They were 1 of 3 teams that were 2 wins and 0 losses in the tournament. The Bombers Orange were also 2 and 0. Unfortunately, the heavy rains Saturday night and Sunday morning came down and the conditions caused the cancelation of the remainder of the tournament.

In game on vs the Delta Dawgs Gold, the Bombers took a while to get going. The Dawgs struck first in the top of the 1st inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Bombers tied it in the third. When the Dawgs came up in the 5th, a couple of errors, walks and a misplayed fly ball helped the Dawgs take a 6-1 lead. However, the Bombers did not fold. In the bottom of the 6th, they plated 4 runs. The had the bases loaded with just one out. Unfortunately, they were unable to get the one big hit to steal the game. Cameron Hoff threw 3 innings, allowing just 1 earned run. Taylor Mellick also threw a scoreless inning as well. Top hitters were Troy Dennett (single and an rbi), Nick Burnham (single and an rbi) and Tyler McLaughlin (single and an rbi). Final score Dawgs Gold 6, Bombers Blue 5.
In game 2 vs the Valley Rays, the Bombers offense woke up. The posted a 5 spot in both the 2nd and 4th innings. Tyler Schlotter started and went 3 2/3 innings to pick up his 5th win. Noah Denoyer threw the final 1 1/3 inning. Tyler McLaughlin again had a big game. He had an single and a perfect squeeze bunt to drive in a run. Troy Dennett also had a squeeze bunt that went for a hit and an rbi. Troy also played stellar defense. Other top offensive stars were Taylor Mellick who had a double and 2 rbi. Tyler Schlotter had a 2 run single and Jared Finney plated a run on a single as well. Nick Burnham stole 3 bases in the game. Final score Bombers Blue 11, Valley Rays 5.
In game 3 Sunday morning vs the Pleasanton Mudhens, the game was a pitchers duel from the start. The Bombers appeared they would strike first but a couple of baserunning blunders allowed the Mudhens to stay even. Cameron Hoff was on his game and threw 4 shut out innings. He picked up his 10th win of the season. Jared Finney slammed the door shut with 2 shut out frames to pick up his 4th save. Cameron Hoff helped out his cause by hitting a triple to score a run. Thomas Greely also pounded out a Ruthian blast to dead center for a stand up triple. Antonio Gigliotti drove in the Bombers first run of the game with a solid rbi single. Noah Denoyer also chipped in with a base hit. Final score, Bombers Blue 2, Pleasanton Hudhens 0.
In the Consolation Championship game vs the tough Delta Dawgs Blue, the Bombers came out guns blazing. Noah Denoyer had a 1,2,3 top of the first and then the Bombers bats took over. Greely started the first with a screaming liner between third and short and everyone else followed. They plated 4 runs in the first. They added 5 more runs in the 3rd to take a commanding 9-1 lead which would also be the final score. Noah Denoyer picked up his 2nd win and second complete game of the year. Noah Denoyer also went 2 for 2 and had 2 rbi's. Antonio Gigliotti had a 2 hit game with a run driven in as well. Jared Finney singled in a run. Tyler McLaughlin continued his monster tournament with a 2 run single to cap the scoring. Other hits came from Greg Guillen and Nick Burnham. The final score, Bombers Blue 9, Delta Dawgs Blue 1.

In game 1 vs Bret's Muckdogs, Jacob Rebar started on the mound and went 2 1/3 innings. He allowed just one earned run and struck out 6. Antonio Gigliotti had a ringing rbi double. Tyler Schlotter evened the game at 5 with an rbi single. He also pitched a perfect final inning with 2 strike outs to pick up his 3rd win. Nick Burnham had the big hit to break the tie. He smoked a hard single that got by the right fielder which allowed him to come all the way around to score. He was credited with 2 rbi's on the hit. In game 2 vs the Slammers Rage, the Bombers did not hit too well but did enough to pressure the defense and force San Ramon to play catch up most of the game. Jacob Rebar once again had a big hit, an rbi triple to deep right center. Antonio Gigliotti added a hit, 2 steals and the game winning, walk-off sacrifice fly. Tyler Schlotter started on the mound and pitched 2 solid innings, only allowing 1 earned run and struck out 3. Cameron Hoff pitched the final 2 2/3 innings. He allowed just 1 earned run and struck out 4. Hoff picked up his 9th win. The final score, Bombers Blue 6, San Ramon Slammers Rage 5.
In Game 3 vs the Slammers Rage, the Bombers came out sluggish. Mental, physical and baserunning blunders were too much to overcome. The bright spot was they pounded out 9 hits. Unfortunately, they lacked a big hit or 2 with runners on base. Top hitters were Antonio Gigliotti, who continues to have a hot bat. He went 2-3, 2 rbi's and a stolen base. Taylor Mellick had a single, double, 3 runs and 2 steals. Greg Guillen had a sharp hit up the middle to plate a run. Other hits came from Tyler McLaughlin, Tyler Schlotter, Jared Finney and Thomas Greely. Jacob Rebar went 1 2/3 innings, striking out 5 and allowing 0 earned runs. Schlotter threw 2 innings, allowing 1 earned run while striking out a pair. The Bombers did come back to tie the game at 6 after trailing 6-3. However, the error bug bit in the top of the 6th allowing the Slammers to plate 3 runs. Final score, Slammers Rage 9, Bombers Blue 6.
In the Championship vs Bret's Muckdogs, right away it was clear that it would be a pitching duel. Jared Finney was on his game. He went 5 2/3 innings, striking out 8 and only allowed 1 earned run. He had to be pulled from the mound due to maximum innings in a day. The Muckdogs struck first on a lead off triple which eventually scored in the 1st inning. The Bombers tied the game in the second only to see the Muckdogs reclaim the lead on an unearned run in the 3rd inning. The Bombers would tie the score in the 4th on a pair of hits and a wild pitch. The game remained tied until the bottom of the sixth inning. Antonio Gigliotti drew a walk and proceeded to steal second. Rebar then singled which moved Gigliotti to third. That set the stage for "Mr. Clutch". Thomas Greely smacked a line shot between 3rd and short and plated Gigliotti with the walk-off winning run. Greely ended up with 2 hits, a steal and an rbi. More important than his hits, he threw out 2 basestealers who who got on leading off innings which killed any offensive momentum for the Muckdogs. In game one vs the Livermore Marshalls, Antonio Gigliotti pounded out two 2 rbi hits to pace the Bombers onslaught. Jared Finney added an rbi single. Taylor Mellick chipped in with a single, double and 2 steals. Greely had a hit as well. Skyler Oki picked up the win throwing 2 solid innings. Troy Dennett pitched 2 scoreless innings and Greg Guillen closed it out throwing a perfect inning while striking out 2. The final score, Bombers Blue 13, Livermore Marshalls 2.
In game 2 vs the Bulldog Baseball Club, the Bombers Blue bats were asleep. They collected just 2 hits. Antonio Gigliotti and Thomas Greely each had a hit. Cameron Hoff had a run batted in. The Bombers pitchers kept it close. Jared Finney, Tyler Schlotter and Cameron Hoff each pitched 2 solid innings. In the bottom of the 5th inning, Gigliotti was hung up between 3rd and home. Hoff also came to third. Hoff the ran back towards second and the Bulldogs first baseman fired an errant throw into center which allowed both Bombers runners to score. They added the 4th and final run on a wild pitch. Hoff picked up his 8th win of the year. Final score, Bombers Blue 4, Bulldogs Baseball Club 3.
In game 3, it was a Bombers vs Bombers match up. The Bombers Blue struck with a run in the first but that was as good as it would get. They managed just 2 hits again and made 2 crucial errors that the Bombers Orange made them pay for. Finney and Skyler Oki had the 2 Bombers Blue hits. For the Bombers Orange, Isaac Lewis had a big rbi single, Nick Medina pounded an eye high fast ball to left for a double. Anthony Galindo also had a 2 rbi double that shot the right/center gap. Robbie Ramirez was dominant throwing the last 5 innings and picking up the win. The loss sent the Bombers Blue to the Losers Bracket and The Bombers Orange to the Championship game. Final score, Bombers Orange 7, Bombers Blue 2.
In the Semi-Final game vs the Santa Clara Tribe, the Bombers Blue dug themselves a huge hole with physical and mental errors and entered the bottom of the sixth inning trailing 8-3. Most of the 8 Tribe runs were due to poor defense. However, the "Cardiac Kids" did it again. Another last inning thriller to get them into the Championship. In that big inning Chris Ramon had a 2 run double. Skyler Oki had an rbi. The big hit came with bases loaded and Antonio Gigliotti at the plate. He hit a scorching one hop shot off the shoulder of the Tribe shortstop. The ball rolled into center and Taylor Mellick scored from second on a close play for the walk-off win. Also chipping in was Greg Guillen with an rbi, Cameron Hoff had 2 hits, 2 steals and an rbi. Tyler Schlotter, Mellick and Oki each had a hit as well. Cameron Hoff threw 3 innings as did Jared Finney. Finney picked up the win and the Bombers vs Bombers Championship was set. Final score Bombers Blue 9, Santa Clara Tribe 8.
In the Championship game, it was one to be proud of. Both Bombers 11u teams knocked everyone out and faced each other. This shows how far the program has come in such a short time. The Bombers Blue jumped out early to a 3-0 lead after 1 inning. Hoff's rbi single capped the inning. In the 2nd the Blue scored 5 and 2 in the 3rd to make it 10-0 and that is where it would end. Cameron Hoff collected 3 rbi's and 2 steals. Taylor Mellick went 2 for 3 and scored 3 runs. Antonio Gigliotti had another RBI double as well. Thomas Greely chipped in with an rbi single. For the Bombers Orange, like the Blue just 1 day earlier collected just 2 hits. Both Robbie Ramirez and Nick Medina collected line drive singles for Bombers Orange. Jared Finney started and picked up his 2nd win of the day. Thomas Greely and Cameron Hoff each threw a scoreless frame. Tyler McLaughlin was excellent behind the plate on defense. The whole tournament he blocked everything in the dirt and kept many baserunners from advancing. The final score, Bombers Blue 10, Bombers Orange 0.

In Game 1 vs the Morgan Hill Mustangs, the Bombers capitalized on errors and walks and had very timely hitting to win the game. Cameron Hoff picked up his 6th win of the season and Noah Denoyer struck out the side in the final inning to close it out. Denoyer went 2-4 as well and he had an absolute shot over the left fielders head with the sacks full of Bombers for a 3 run triple. Antonio Gigliotti had a 2 run double and scored 2 runs. Nathan George added a run scoring single. The Bombers ran the bases well swiping 9 bases in the game. Final score, Bombers Blue 11, Morgan Hill Mustangs 7.
In Game 2 on Saturday vs Palo Alto Acorns, the Bombers Blue played well enough to win. Antonio Gigliotti was key in the win with a blast to center for a triple that plated 2 runs. Jacob Rebar added a line shot double to the left center gap. He also added 2 stolen bases. Taylor Mellick chipped in with a single and 3 stolen bases. Tyler Schlotter picked up his second win of the year throwing 3 great innings. Jared Finney came in and picked up his 3rd save. Final score, Bombers Blue 6, Palo Alto Acorns 5. The Bombers Blue earned the #1 seed in the bracket.
In The First Elimination game Sunday vs SunRay Bulldogs, the Bombers scored early and often. They banged out 10 hits and scored 15 runs in less than 3 innings as the game ended on the mercy rule. Antonio Gigliotti went 2-3 with a double and 2 rbi's. Thomas Greely also had a hit and 2 rbi's. Jared Finney went 2-2, 3 runs scored and an rbi. On the mound, Cameron Hoff went the distance picking up his 7th win. He allowed no runs and just 1 hit. The final score, Bombers Blue 15, SunRay Bulldogs 0.
In The Semi Final vs Pacifica National, the Bombers jumped out early and scored 6 runs in the first. Hitting stars were Troy Dennett who was 2-2, 2 rbi's and 3 steals. Dennett also played stellar defense cutting off several would be hits. Thomas Greely went 2-3 with an rbi as well. Jacob Rebar threw 2 great innings and picked up the win. He also had a hit and an rbi in the game. Tyler Schlotter held down the Bulldogs for 2 1/3 innings and Jared Finney slammed the door shut to send the Bombers to the Championship Game. Final Score, Bombers Blue 8, Pacifica National 3.
In The Championship Game vs the Morgan Hill Mustangs, the Bombers Blue saved their best. They were solid hitting, pitching and fielding. Taylor Mellick got it all going and ended up 2-3, 2 runs, rbi and 3 steals. Jared Finney had 2 rbis and a hit. Thomas Greely was 3-4 with an rbi. Greg Guillen chipped in with a 2-4 and an rbi. Tyler Schlotter added 2 hits and 2 rbis. On the mound, Noah Denoyer was simply dominant! He threw a complete game, struck out 7 and only allowed 1 earned run. He was close to untouchable. Final score, Bombers Blue 13, Morgan Hill Mustangs 2. This is the first Bombers Blue USSSA win after 3 straight 2nd place finishes.

In game 1 vs the Delta Dawgs Gold, Skyler Oki picked up his first win of the season allowing just 1 run in 2 1/3 innings of work. Taylor Mellick went 2-2, rbi and 2sb's. Antonio Gigliotti also had 2 hits and an rbi. Thomas Greely had an rbi single as well. Jared Finney slammed the door shut to collect his 2nd save in as many chances this year. Final score, Bombers Blue 7, Dawgs 5.
In game 2 vs Cru's Crushers, The Bombers scored 8 runs in the top of the first inning. Jared Finney plated the first three runs on a line shot down the 3rd base line for a double. He later added his 4th rbi of the game on a solid single. Cameron Hoff had a single and a double, 3 rbi's and stolen base. Jacob Rebar pounded out 2 triples. One was an absolute blast to the right field fence that scored 2 runs. Rebar picked up his 2nd win of the year throwing 2 scoreless innings. Taylor Mellick closed it out, shutting out the Crushers for the final 2 frames. Final score, Bombers Blue 10, Cru's Crushers 0.
In the final Saturday game under the lights, The Bombers bats fell asleep and the Xtreme took advantage of it. The Xtreme took an early 5-1 lead. The Bombers made the best out of 10 Xtreme walks and closed the gap to 5-4. The Bombers fell just 1 hit short as they left numerous runners in scoring position all game long. Cameron Hoff threw 3 solid inning but unfortunately was tagged with the loss due to lack of run support. Final score, Xtreme 5, Bombers Blue 4.
In Sunday's first elimination game vs the Crushers, Thomas Greely had a huge game at the plate going 2 for 2 with 3 rbi's. Skyler Oki had a single and a run batted in. Finney drove in a run and swiped 2 bags. Antonio Gigliotti smacked a double to help the Bombers. Jared Finney came in relief and shut down the Crushers who had jumped out to a 3-0 lead. He threw 4 2/3 innings and allowed just 1 run. It was Finney's 5th win of the season. Final score Bombers Blue 7, Cru's Crushers 4.
In the Semi-Final game vs SJV Blues, The Bombers had to keep battling back all game long. They spotted the Blues leads of 2-0, 4-1 and 7-4. Once again, they never quit and put together a great 4 run rally in the bottom of the 6th to beat the Blues. In the 6th, down a run and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Taylor Mellick painted the right field line with the game winning walk off hit that scored Greely and Guillen. Mellick had a single, triple and 3 rbi's in the game. Jacob Rebar added 2 hits and 2 steals. Chris Ramon also had a clutch RBI single. Rebar picked up the win going the final 3 innings, allowing 1 unearned run, 0 hits and struck out 3. The Final score, Bombers Blue 8, Blues 7.
In the Championship game, The Bombers spotted the Mustangs 6 runs in the first 2 innings on some errors, walks and timely hitting. The Bombers had bases loaded with 0 out in the first and bases loaded with 1 out in the second and failed to score. Yet, once again they battled back to tie the game at 6-6 after 4 1/2 innings. The Mustangs scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth, and the Bombers couldn't answer in the 6th, though they ended the game with Mellick at 3rd. Mellick had 3 hits and 3 steals. Greely had a single, double, 2 steals and 2 rbi's. Finney had 2 hits and an rbi. Tyler Schlotter had a line double which started a 4th inning rally. Rebar pitched well and kept the Bombers within striking distance as did Schlotter. In the end, they fell a bit short. Final score, Morgan Hill Mustangs 8, Bombers Blue 6.

This was another successful weekend for the Bombers Blue baseball team. In the tournament this weekend, we went 4 and 1. Took our second consecutive 2nd Place finish.
Game 1 vs the Delta Dawgs Gold, Thomas Greely went 2 innings with 2 strike outs on the mound and Cameron Hoff came in for the remaining 3 innings with 3 strike outs to pick up his 5th win. The top hitting stars for the game were Taylor Mellick (2-2, triple, 3 runs, rbi and 2 sb's). Thomas Greely had 2 hits and swiped 4 bags as well. Greg Guillen had a 2 run double and Chandlyr Metal smoked a double to right that knocked in a run. Burnham, Hoff and Finney collected a hit each as well. The final was Bombers 11, Dawgs 5.
Game 2 vs The SJV Blues, Troy Dennett went 2 solid innings holding the Blues to 1 unearned run. Taylor Mellick picked up the win throwing 3 great innings, hold the Blues to just 1 run. Jacob Rebar had a hit, 2 walks and 3 stolen bases. Finney, Greely and Mellick each had 1 hit. Tyler McLaughlin executed a perfect squeeze bunt to score Mellick to put the game out of reach. Final score, Bombers 7, Blues 2.
Game 3 vs Cru's Crushers of Danville, Jared Finney dominated on the mound. He threw a complete game, allowing just 2 runs in route to his 4th win of the season. Once again, Taylor Mellick paced the Bombers hitting attack. Antonio Gigliotti added a 2 run double. Tyler McLaughlin did it again on a squeeze bunt, again scoring Mellick from 3rd. On the same play, McLaughlin circled the bases and scored on 2 errors by the Crushers. The final was Bombers 10, Crushers 2.
The game of the day vs Tabu (game 4). Tabu put up 5 runs in the top of the first. It looked to be a rough day but Taylor Mellick hammered a double to lead off the bottom of the 1st and that started a 4 run rally. Tabu went up by 4 after the top of the 2nd but once again, the never say die Bombers rallied to score 3 and make it just a 1 run game, 8-7. Tyler Schlotter came in and allowed no hits over the final 3 2/3 innings to keep the Bombers within striking distance. In the final inning, Jacob Rebar walked on 4 pitches. Troy Dennett layed down a great sacrifice bunt to get Rebar into scoring position. Nick Burnham stepped to the plate and crushed a fastball over the centerfielders head for a run scoring triple to tie the game at 8. Tabu collected the 2nd out. That left it up to Tyler McLaughlin to be the hero. He poked a single to left field for a walk off win to score Burnham from third. McLaughlin keeps coming through whether it's a big hit, big catch or playing small ball. Schlotter picked up his 1st win of the year. Final Bombers 9, Tabu 8.
In the Finals against the Delta Dawgs Blue, the Bombers ran into a buzzsaw. The Dawgs hit the ball well. The Bombers made a few mistakes to make the damage a little more severe. The Dawgs pitcher was on his game. He threw strikes, fed his defense and the Dawgs responded by making the plays behind him. Skyler Oki saw his first mound time of the season and threw a flawless inning. The Final, Dawgs Blue 9, Bombers Blue 1.

Elk Grove Tourney (Sept 13/14)
The Bombers Blue took 2nd place in last weekends tournament in Elk Grove.

LaMorinda Diablos 5, Bombers Blue 2 (Championship Game).
Tyler McLaughlin, Jared Finney, Nathan George, Taylor Mellick and Skyler Oki paced the offense against the Blues and Knockouts to secure a 4th seed in the Gold Bracket. Nathan George came into a jam in the first inning against the Blues in game 1 and threw 2.1 great innings to pick up the win. Taylor Mellick threw 3 solid innings in game 2 vs the Knockouts. Jared Finney came in after the Bombers blew a lead to pick up the win.
Chris Ramon drove in the 6th run on a single and scored what proved to be the winning run after stealing 2nd and 3rd base and scoring on an errant throw in the 1st elimination game vs the Los Banos Xtreme. Jared Finney closed the door throwing 1.2 solid innings to pick up the save. Cameron Hoff started the game and went 4.1 innings only allowing 2 earned runs while picking up another win.
Taylor Mellick continued to be a solid lead off hitter and started a large 7-run first inning in the Semi-Final game vs the Morada Mavericks. Tyler Schlotter capped off the rally with a 2-run single. Jacob Rebar threw 3 solid innings and picked up the win. Taylor Mellick came in the final inning to slam the door on Morada.
In the Championship, the Bombers fell short, losing 5-2. Jared Finney threw 4 great innings. Unearned runs were the difference in the game. Antonio Gigliotti played great defense in left field and had one of the Bombers 4 hits in the game. Troy Dennett picked up a hit and scored a run. Chris Ramon layed down a perfect drag bunt for a hit of his own as well a stealing a base. He also made a spectacular diving catch to save a run in centerfield. Thomas Greely was also a top perfromer, catching all 3 games and stopping the oppositions running game.

Greg Guillen went 2 for 3 with a run batted in. Cameron Hoff went 3 strong innings. He gave up no runs, struck out 3 and picked up his first win of the year. Thomas Greely came in and finished the game striking out 2 in his one inning of work. Final score Bombers Blue 12, Hanford Hocks 1.
In the semi final game vs La Morinda Monarchs, the Monarchs had hot bats, good pitching and flawless defense in their victory vs the Bombers Blue. For the Bombers, Greg Guillen had 2 more RBI's and Taylor Mellick continued to impress with 2 more hits. Jared Finney added a triple and Tyler McLaughlin, Thomas Greely and Troy Dennett also had base hits. Final score La Morinda Monarchs 12, Bombers Blue 3.
