Welcome to the home of the
    Booker T. Washington Wolves

    Congratulations
    November 3, 2007 Congratulations to our Booker T. Washington 5th & 6th grade Wolves.

They did an outstanding job in our bowl game on Saturday, November 3rd, which was the last game of the season.

What a way to go out. The Wolves who finished 6-2 in regular season and 7-2 overall took away a clean 3rd place in the 2007 E.J.R.T. league.

The entire team came to play and made this year a success for what will be some players last game.

The Wolves were allowed to vote on two teammates of their choice to receive the Gorre and Lang awards. The Gorre and Lang awards are not only for athleticism, they are leadership awards. According to the Gorre's and Mr. Lang, the awards have true meaning....they are to commend young players not only for athletic ability on the field, but for the leadership skills they possess. The winners of the awards are excellent teammates, teammates that help one another in times of need, they also show remarkable heart. They are empathetic and show true compassion to fellow teammates. The team voted Raeshaan Finley for the Lang award and Adrian Moore for the Gorre award.

Congratulations to those two. It means a lot when your team votes for you to win an award of this type. It means they like to be around you. They feel as if you are a good influence and a role model of sort.

I am very proud of these two boys. I am very proud of this team. Of course, we could have ended up Champions this year, but losses can help build character.

As you all know, I am Adrian's mom and I would just like to say thank you for welcoming Adrian to your team this year. Thank you for welcoming the six or seven Enid Plainsmen Green that had to change teams this year. We all appreciate it.

Mostly, I appreciate it for Adrian. It is very hard for a boy of Adrian's size to come out and try to do what he tries to do. Adrian will never be the biggest football player, but as long as his heart is...he will do well. He has always been a very special kid with a very special heart. He is willing to listen and help others and that far outweighs the wish for more height or strength.

I just want to thank you again for the welcome that you gave him and us into your program. He had an opportunity to work on areas that needed work and areas that he was comfortable with. Thank you for allowing him the opportunity to grow in the sport of football and the chance to meet new friends.

For some, you will have another season or two of EJRT football and I say good luck to you.
For others, it was your last game and now it is time to move onto Junior High. It is time to bring out the big "guns" and show the Junior High coaches what you are made of on and off the field. I am sad that football is over....and I can't wait for Junior High.....hopefully I will see Adrian and the rest of you on the field again.

If I did not do well on this site this year, please forgive me. It was my first big creation and I had to sneak it in during work hours. I apologize for anything that was spelled wrong or not mentioned. Please keep the site going for the Wolves in the future. Whoever would like to handle it, please contact me for the password or help!!

Don't forget Booker T. banquet tonight at 6:30!!! Bring two sides...barbeque theme??

    Felicia Washington

November 3, 2007 - 03:00 PM The Booker T. Washington Wolves finished their regular season in a solid 3rd place......but remember that this Saturday, November 3rd @ 3:00 pm, the Wolves will face off with the Enid Cowboys in an effort to retain their 3rd place position.

The Cowboys, who just came from a heartbreaking defeat(26-21) against the Plainsmen have finished their regular season 4-4. Although statistically, the Cowboys finished their regular season with the same record as the Enid Raiders, the Cowboys defeated the Raiders in the regular season and this put them in the bracket to play the Wolves in their bowl game.

The Wolves, who finished 6-2 still have one more game to prove their ability. A win Saturday afternoon will guarantee the Wolves their proclaimed third place. A loss on Saturday will rank the Wolves 4th in the E.J.R.T. 5th & 6th grade league for the season.

Let's be as supportive as possible for our Booker T. Washington Wolves as they play what will be some players' last E.J.R.T. football game ever.

Bring as many family, friends, or acquaintances as you can pull in...paint your car windows, bring your pom poms......and let's get ready to rumble on Super Saturday!!!

    Wolves Continue in a Pack
The Booker T. Washington Wolves continue on their winning streak.

Last nights performance against the Pioneer Colts gave way to a slow start but the Wolves were able to pick up their game and do what they came to do, play football.

As Quarterback Moore and Finley continue to switch out, the offense is able to confuse their opponent on what to expect in the distant future. Moore was able to find his running backs, while Finley was able to complete a long pass to receiver, Lofton. This completion ultimately led the Wolves to another touchdown.

There are just so many people that were involved in this game. It was unreal. We had guys passing, catching, running, and let's give credit where credit is due. Our offensive line came to play. Last nights game proved to be the best game of the season for our offensive line. Namely two, Charlie Clardy and Jacob Wiens. They had their best game of the season.

Both Wiens and Clardy once filled a spot on the Pioneer Colts team last year...so it came to no surprise that they came to prove a point last night. And that they did.....we have to give it to guys such as Moore, Finley, Lofton, Thomas, Rendon....etc. however, last nights golden football definitely belongs in the hands of the offensive line.

Remember....all Wolves must be at practice on Monday, October 29th.

The BTW Wolves play their last regular season game against the Waukomis Chiefs on Tuesday, October 30th at 6:00 on the West field. We hope that everyone will be able to join us in their effort to end the season with a win.....

Let's cheer on our Wolves !!!

The Pack is back on track.....
After suffering two heartbreaking losses and having a bye week, the Booker T. Washington Wolves are back on track. No need to set the trap and try and catch a Wolf because after last nights performance.....it seems they will find their way around it!!!

Usual starting quarterback, Adrian Moore, shared the position with Raeshan Finley. Instead, Moore started in the receiver position hoping to give Finley another target.

And it paid off. The periodic switches between Finley and Moore, along with the brilliant team effort put the Wolves back on track.

At the post-game gathering, coaches, Awwali Imani and Keith Morris congratulated their Wolfpack....not only for their win, but for displaying such remarkable teamwork. "Everyone showed up to play tonight. The line blocked, the quarterbacks got the ball off, and the defense tackled".

The continuity the team displayed ultimately was responsible for their largest win of the season, 34-0. If we continue to play with such a team effort it will ensure success for the remainder of the season.

    Season Opener
September 6, 2007 The Booker T. Washington Wolves started their 5th & 6th grade season out just right. They took on the Dominators, but the Wolves ended up dominating.

They displayed brilliant teamwork for their season opener, dominating the Dominators 38-0.

Quarterback, Adrian Moore, seemed to be able to get the job done finding his number one full-back, Raeshaan Finley and Alex Lofton. And there is good reason to call Raeshan number one. With a score of 26-0 at half, Raeshaan was unstoppable. "He was like a train".

Relieving Moore, was Tanner Fore, who made his quarterback debut. Fore calmly allowed Antonio Thomas and Zackary Rendon to put some more points on the board.

Meanwhile, Finley, Moore, Quentin McCauley, James McCauley, Shane Morrison, and Tanner Struble seemed to control the rest of the game defensively.

It was a great way to open the season....check out the calendar for upcoming games.
