The following ballplayers have been selected to the 10U Lookouts Red roster for the Fall 2010 & Spring 2011 season. Congratulations! We will open the season with a parent/player/coach meeting on Monday, August 2nd 6:30 pm at WHS. Specific details regarding the upcoming season will be discussed in detail at this meeting. ATTENTION ALL CURRENT LOOKOUTS & PROSPECTIVE LOOKOUTS (FALL 2010 & SPRING 2011 TRYOUT INFORMATION)
Tryouts for the Fall 2010 & Spring 2011 Lookouts (ages 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U & 14U) will be held July 26th – July 30th at Westview High School . The tryout schedule for the listed age divisions is posted below. Each ballplayer attending tryouts should arrive in full baseball attire and meet outside the first base dugout of the JV baseball field prior to the tryout start time each day of his respective tryout. Additionally, each ballplayer should bring the following completed paperwork: 2010-2011 Registration Form & 2010-2011 Player Contract. The Registration Form & Player Contract are available for download by clicking on the "Handouts" link of the Main Menu. Furthermore, each ballplayer should bring a copy of his government issued birth certificate.
Each ballplayer should tryout for his respective age division for the Fall 2010 & Spring 2011 seasons (i.e., if a ballplayer played the Fall 2009 & Spring 2010 seasons as an 11U, he should attend the 12U tryout dates/times). Each ballplayer should attend both tryout dates/times. If your son would like to tryout, but is unavailable on the established dates/times, please contact Patrick Edwards at lookouts@san.rr.com. Please note the below is tentative and subject to change.

Shane Bingham, IF, (Lookouts 03-05; Torrey Pines High School) has verbally committed to the University of Oregon and will begin his collegiate baseball career as a Duck in the Spring 2011.
18U LOOKOUTS WIN USTSA WORLD SERIES WARM-UP

The 18U Lookouts won the USTSA World Series Warm-Up held July 17-18 at Orange High School in Orange, CA. During pool play, the Lookouts defeated Team Rip (10-6) before losing to the Riverside Falcons (7-4). The #2 seed out of pool play, the Lookouts defeated Team Rip (8-3) to advance to the Championship Game. In a pool play rematch, the Lookouts defeated the Riverside Falcons (7-4) to win the Championship!

7TH ANNUAL "ON THE FIELD WITH THE AZTECS" A HUGE SUCCESS

As part of Lookouts' tradition, we enjoyed another memorable experience as our organization celebrated our 7th annual “On the Field with the Aztecs” event at Tony Gwynn Stadium on May 21st, 2010. The Lookouts ballplayers were treated to a special pregame visit with SDSU freshman pitcher Kyle Shaver (Westview High School 2009) and SDSU and UNLV ballplayers. Coach Fred Zarcilla spent time with his college teammate and friend, Aztec Head Coach Tony Gwynn. Coach Gwynn signed autographs and expressed his appreciation to our organization for the great support over the years. He’s always impressed with the character and poise of our players and also stated, “loves the Lookouts red and black uniforms”. From the stands, the Lookouts were treated to a great game as the Aztecs defeated the Rebels 12-6 in Mountain West Conference action.
