Omar Steinberg wins 2009 CCWA Player of the Year
Omar Steinberg started off 2009 hot with back-to-back-to-back homeruns and never slowed down. He was the most dominant hitter in the Southern League and one of the top five pitchers in the league. He also was one of the more 'clutch' players in the CCWA, coming up with that timely hit to put you away or a big strikeout to preserve the lead for his team. That deadly combination helped lead the Expos to the 2009 Championship.
