2009 25 Division Award Winner's
Here are the 2009 25 Division Award Winner's as selected by the managers.
MVP-Joe Demarco (Angels)
Joe is not only one of the best defensive catchers in the game but lead's the Angels assault when hitting. Demarco compiled amazing stats playing in all 20 games. Joe hit .508 with 33 hits, 24 runs scored, 7 2B's, 1 HR, 23 RBI's, .547 obp and .662 slg. Joe is the constant competitor who will never give up and has shown this again this year leading the Angels to the finals for the 2nd straight year and 3 out of 4 years.
Rookie of the Year-Bobby Krogh (Rockies)
Bobby "The Legend" Krogh stepped up for the Rockies this season pitching whenever Q needed him. At the beginning of the season Bobby had torn his groin and tried to keep pitching. After surgery, 2 weeks later he was begging to still play no matter what to help the Rockies win. Not only was Bobby one of the dominant pitchers in the league this year but he was clutch hitting in the 5 hole for the Rockies. Bobby pitched in 11 games and started 9 of them. He pitched 51.1 innings, compliled a 5-4 record with 5 CG's. and 71 K's. His ERA was 3.00. At the plate Bobby hit .326, with 10 RS, 15 hits and 18 RBI's.
Bill Jones Award-Nick Davey (Brewers)
The League's 2008 MVP was back at it this year making hitter's look foolish and leading his Brewers to the league's best record. Nick is not only a great pitcher but his hitting is not to shabby either. Nick pitched in 10 games and started 9 of them. He pitched 51 innings, posted a 1.37 ERA, Walked only 3 batters all year and struck out 51 guys. Nick had 5 CG's, he finished with a record of 7-1 and also had a save.
Manager of the Year-Quentin Jensen (Rockies)
At the end of the 2008 season the 4-16 Saratoga Blues were going to fold. Q had asked Justin Wolfer and his father Al Wolfer who were running the team together that instead of folding he would take over. The Wolfer's agreed and now started the Rockies. Q did a great job recruiting players like, John Gawinski, Bobby Krogh, and Mickey Novak. The Rockies started out slow but ended the season with 11 wins and 9 losses. The Rockies were in alot of games and could have easily been 14 and 6. The Rockies won there 1st playoff game but there season ended quickly as they ran into Jim Shook. With the turnaround from 4-16 to 11-9 that is why Q has won Manager of the Year.
Batting Champion-Keith Daley
Keith was the best hitter on the Trojans hands down. No matter what you threw him he was bound to find a way to get a hit. Daley hit .522 and was this year's 25 Division Batting Champion. His overall number were very good as well 17 runs scored, 24 hits, 8 2B's, 2 HRS, 14 RBI's, 11 SB's, .596 obp, .826 slg.
