Equipment and Uniforms for Players in T-Ball
January 4, 2009
All a youngster needs to play T-Ball is a glove and a pair of gym shoes. We will provide uniforms and equipment (bases, bats, balls and the like). Players can bring their own bats, batting gloves and the like but this is not required.
The uniform consists of a hat, shirt and pants. The player can keep the hat and shirt but must return the pants to the Manager at the end of the season.
Don't forget the registration entitles the player to a voucher that can be exchanged for a free ticket to a Cincinnati Reds Game on dates to be determined. Your Team Manager will cooridnate this and will provide all necessary information
Basic Information about T-Ball
January 4, 2009
T-Ball is for children with birthdays between 5-1-2002 and 4-30-2004.
The registration fee is $25 and the fee should be paid at the time of registration.
T-ball is played with a low impact ball and not a hardball. The league provides bats, balls, and uniforms. A player need only provide a glove (special shoes/rubber spikes are not necessary/ a regular pair of gym shoes is just fine).
Anticipate a 10 game season - the Season will start in late April/early May and conclude by the end of June. Games will be played on Saturday's and occassionally during the week (weekday games could occur on any day of the week). Games will be played in fields located in College Hill, North College Hill, Finneytown and Greenhills.
In terms of a time commitment, the norm would be one game and one practice per week. In some weeks their could be an additional game on a weekday night (please keep in mind that in January we have not completed schedules, formed teams etc.).
If you are new to this, please remember T-Ball is all about fun. Everyone will have a good time - parents, coaches and players. If your child is elgible to play (again any child with a birthdate between 5/1/2002 and 4/30/2004 is elgible to play).
All you need to do is complete and submit a registration form. The registration fee is $25 and payment is expected at the time of registration. See the web page for our special program with College Hill Soccer - allows a T-Ball aged youngster to play both sports for just one fee.
If your child is too young for T-Ball, we suggest you contact the local YMCA - they sometimes have leagues for younger players.
If your child is older, please visit our baseball website for more information (www.leaguelineup.com/collegehillbaseball).
Remember you can download the registration form from this site. Just go to the handout section (left side of your screen). You will need an adobe acrobat reader to download the form and just be patient in downloading if you are using dial-up access.
If you want your child to play with a neighbor, friend or with a particular coach, just indicate this on the form. We will try (and in most cases at this age level we can) to honor your request.
You can get more information form our Baseball Hotline (929-2255 [BALL}). The T-Ball information is at the end of the recording. Or send us an email at: baseball.collegehill@yahoo.com
Please remember the key to this is completion of a Registration Form. If you can not download a form, then you can pick one up at Bill O'Brien's house - 1446 Thomwood Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224 (in College Hill).
Directions (from the intersection of Hamilton and North Bend) are:
Go North on Hamilton Avenue to the 6th street
Turn LEFT on Hollywood (you will be going East)
Turn LEFT on Devonwood (the first stop sign)
Turn LEFT on Thomwood (this is the first street)
(turn on the "short side of Thomwood)
The house is the last hours on the RIGHT (1446 is the address)
Forms are in a basket in the front porch. Just a suggestion, bring your check or money order with you and you can just drop off the completed registration form at the house. Please make check or money order payable to North Hills Baseball.
Thanks again for your interest in our Program. We look forward to receiving your registration form.
Interested in managing a T-Ball Team or Helping Out
January 4, 2009
We are always looking for coaches and/or people to assist or generally help out with the T-Ball Program. No prior experience required. If interested, please contact Bill O'Brien at 729-1786
Thanks for your interest. (and we can almost certainly guarantee you will have fun if you do assist!!!!!)
Please note, a huge help is for a team to have a team coordinator. This person (and there can be more than one) will handle the paperwork and coordinate communications within the team. This is really important and the team manager will really appreciate this help.
2009 Registration Fees
The registration fee for T-Ball is $25. Please make your check or money order payable to North Hills Baseball (we would strongly prefer payment by check or money order in lieu of cash).
See this page for special information for T-Ball only - play Spring Soccer in College Hill and we will waive the T-Ball Registration Fee. You must complete a registration form and return the form - but just indicate on the face of the form that your son/daughter is playing soccer this spring and we will waive the fee.
Also if you have another family member playing T-Ball or Baseball in our North Hills program, you may deduct $5 from the 2nd and all subsequent registrations. We need a separate registration form for each child. Please just submit the forms at the same time and/or indicate on the face of the form that the Family Discount applies.
