Congratulations from Deni Christensen!
Principal Deni Christensen sent her "Congratulations to our Pep Squad" via email to the entire staff
at Capo...isn't that awesome?? Here is the text of her email to the staff:

Please join me in congratulating the members of our cheer and song teams on their recent successes. Last weekend
the pep teams took home the following awards at their first competition:
***Varsity Elite Song 1st place beating Aliso, Foothill, and RSM among others.
***Varsity Elite Cheer 1st place beating Cypress and La Serna.
***Varsity Intermediate teams for song and cheer both took 2nd place.
***JV Elite Song 1st place.
***JV Elite Cheer 1st place.
The pep teams are actually one of the most successful programs at CVHS; they will be attempting their 14th national title this year. Both Song and Cheer have been winners of the COA Ultimate Cup, which is a single award given to the one team at Nationals that the judges deem to be the overall best performing team at nationals. Considering that there are usually over 100 school teams competing from all over the country and Europe, this is quite an honor.
The squads will compete next at CVHS on January 9th for song and January 10th for Cheer. The girls love to see their teachers there to support them. Teachers and their families receive free entry by just showing your staff pass at the door!
Cal Elite "Open Gym Tuesdays"
Cal Elite Open Gym Tuesdays ~ For Dance and Cheer! Go practice with your teammates and have fun...
They are extending the time next week to 1 1/2 hours at a cost of $6 for members and $7 for non-members. It will be from 8-9:30pm every Tuesday evening. This is the preferred place for you to go...per your coaches!
The release forms are under the tab "Handouts" if you need them.
<Important Reminders
***If your pepster is going to be absent for ANY reason from practice, you must call Leesa and let her know. A text or e-mail isn't always timely...please call asap. Pepsters may also contact their coach and then team captains as a follow-up. Leesa is the first contact.
***Pep Squad pictures have been rescheduled. They are not September 1st. We will notify all teams when we have a new date. We are waiting for uniforms to arrive.
