Our Varsity Football and JV Spirit Squads just returned from the NCA summer camp hosted by the University of Georgia. They received the following awards:

The NCA National Championship Bid was awarded to Varsity Football. This impressive accomplishment is presented to a team that demonstrates positive attitudes, outstanding spirit, and good sportsmanship.

Varsity Football was also presented with the SPOT Award and the Technical Excellence Certificate for their superior technique in safety, spotting, stunting, motions and jumps.

Mollie Cronan, Varsity Football Captain, was awarded the Individual Leadership Award. This esteemed achievement honors the Captain that displays excellence in leadership throughout the week in Captain’s Class.

All-American Nominees, selected by the NCA Instructors, are individuals who display superior cheerleading techniques in the following areas: jumps, tumbling, stunting, motion technique, leadership, and dance. The following cheerleaders were selected as All-American Nominees:

Varsity Football: Mollie Cronan, Alle Haynie, Nicole Gaither, Jean Gaskins, Jasmine Jenkins, Lauren Stier, Natalie Stubbs, Taylor Ray, and Lacey Wheeler

JV Spirit: Rebecca Johnston, Julie Norris, and Brooke Powell

All American Team Membership was awarded to Nicole Gaither, Alle Haynie, Jasmine Jenkins, Rebecca Johnston, and Julie Norris! This prestigious accomplishment is granted to outstanding individuals who exemplify the best cheerleading skills during the All-American Team tryout.

Both Varsity Football and JV Spirit brought home the Spirit Stick Award and Superior Performance Ribbons. These two awards are presented to squads that display sincere spirit and strong leadership throughout the week.
