Reds win Arlington Classic!

The Collierville Reds, after losing their first two games of the tournament, came back on Sunday with a vengeance, culminating a great day of baseball with a 7-5 championship game victory over the Arlington Tigers in the AHS AA Classic, held in Arlington.
The Reds entered Sunday play as the #4 seed, but defeated the Arkansas Flyers and the Germantown Sox to earn a spot in the championship game. For the day, the Reds outscored their opponents 32-13.
The championship trophy went to winning pitcher Josh Kleber, who cruised through all 6 innings for the victory. His teammates showed their appreciation for his efforts with a victory dogpile after the game.
Great job guys!

The Collierville Reds made it a very special Mothers' Day for their moms yesterday, as they brought home the championship of the USSSA AA Open at Snowden Grove in Southaven, MS. They finished the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record, capping it with a 10-7 victory over a tough Mississippi Eagles team in the championship game.
The boys were outstanding in all facets of the game all weekend: great pitching, great hitting, sparkling defense, and extreme focus! For the weekend, the Reds outscored their opponents 56-19...

The Collierville Reds won their third consecutive tournament title tonight, winning the Collierville Invitational with an 8-2 victory over a tough Desoto Lightning team.
The weekend was a fantastic team effort all the way around, as the Reds had great pitching, great defense, and strong, timely hitting all weekend, along with smart baserunning. The boys put it all together this weekend, which enabled them to go 4-0 against a strong 9 team field!
What a weekend! Great job guys!

The Reds won the 9 year old championship in the Drew Lawrence Memorial tournament today, defeating the Germantown Sox in the final game 12-4. Josh Kleber cruised thru 6 innings to get the win, and was backed by a strong defensive effort and some timely hitting.
Way to go guys!

The Collierville Reds won the 9 year old championship of the Buckhead Spring Fling in dramatic fashion, overcoming an early 7-1 deficit to eke out a 9-8 win over the Arlington Tigers. Josh Kleber was fantastic in relief, allowing only 1 run over the final 3 innings, to earn the victory. The team trophy was presented to Benjamin Ellis, who celebrated his 9th birthday with the team in victory!

The Collierville Reds celebrated St. Patrick's Day weekend not only with their snazzy green caps, but with a 2nd place finish in the Arlington AA Classic tournament. Way to go Reds!!!

OK, who's tired after a day/night doubleheader? Who's ready for another game? Tell the truth!
You guys played very well today! Everyone was aggressive at the plate, and we made things happen at the plate, on the bases, and in the field. The pitchers threw strikes all day, which kept the defense on their toes, and everyone worked well together.
Tyler did a great job behind the plate in both games, and each pitcher did a super job hitting the mitt.
At the plate, Benjamin showed everyone that he's bringing some serious stick to the Reds. Alabama's loss is our gain.
Let's keep up the good work! Have a great week of practice, and we'll take some momentum into our tournament this weekend!

Way to go Reds! That was a great display Sunday against the Sox. For our first organized scrimmage game, we saw a lot of positive things out there!
The pitching looked great, and the best thing about that is knowing that it will continue to get better and better.
The defense was great as well! C.J. and Quinn both made great plays at SS, and Landon made a great play on a slow roller out in front of the plate. We know our defense will be solid all year; you guys all do a great job out there!
The hitting looked pretty good, I saw some good swings up at the plate, and solid contact will come. Pitching is always better than hitting at the start of any season, at any level. We know that as the weather gets warmer, the bats will heat up!
Let's keep up the good work out there, continue to work hard, and get after it again this weekend. Our first tournament is coming up quickly!

Congratulations to all the boys for an outstanding effort in the MIFA Thanksgiving Benefit tournament this past weekend! The Reds went 3-2 over the weekend, culminating in a 2nd place finish overall in the 9 year old division.
