Welcome to the Connecticut Shamrocks basketball web site. The Connecticut Shamrocks have gained a national reputation over the past ten years as one of the finest basketball programs in the country. The Shamrock Basketball Program strives to provide student athletes with superior instruction, competition and exposure. The Connecticut Shamrock girls teams have played the best teams in the country and have won numerous tournaments including the unprecedented 2006 Connecticut AAU State Championship sweep of ALL the high school age brackets. Shamrock Alumni are currently playing in top high schools and Division I, II and III college programs.
The Connecticut Shamrocks accept girls from across the state from ages 10 to 16 that are interested in competitive basketball. The Shamrocks spring/summer travel program begins in March and ends in July. All Shamrock players are registered as members of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) of Connecticut. Two tryout sessions will be held for each age group. The top players will be selected and notified after the last tryout. Players who do not make the team will be kept on a waiting list should injury or dropouts occur.
