Game Summaries

2-0 loss v West Morris
The game was within reach until a very late goal that we allowed as we were pushing players forward to try to tie the score. Morgan hustled in the center and Becky played tough in the second half. Alex P played a strong game on the wing and had some tough battles along the sideline.

We are all proud of your efforts!!

4-0 loss v Highland
We now know that Claire is worth at least 2 goals a half. When I lead the team for the first half, we were down 3 - 0, Claire arrives and only 1 more goal is scored.

Kate did a very good job on defense even though she was faced with a very good player. Megan had a bunch of nice touches in the middle, while Giselle made a few good runs at the goal. A better effort than the score indicates. Keep it going!!!

PS - Thanks for the birthday cupcakes Bridget!! Happy Birthday!

3-3 tie v Wanaque
Sometimes a tie feels like a victory! All the girls did a great job on a hot day with only 1 sub. As you may already know, we played a good part of the first half with only 10!

Great job in goal by Anna Ames in the second half. Krista had 2 nice goals and Alex R kocked in the final goal. Melanie looked solid in the center and Tori controlled the ball nicely throughout the game.

I can't say it enough, this team is really showing some character...let's keep it going!!

1-1 tie v Sparta
A very good effort to start the season. Krista had a great goal to start the scoring. A solid defensive effort from Bridget and Anna D did an excellent job throwing a shutout in the first half.

Overall I am very proud as we went up against a squad of 18 larger girls and did a great job. Keep it up!!!
