2009 CYO Girls Volleyball
American Martyrs Thrice!
For the third consecutive year, American Martyrs of Manhattan Beach have won the CYO girls volleyball championship. This year the Mustangs defeated a very talented team in St. Joseph of Long Beach. The Knights had some scoring streaks that gave their faithful throng hope of victory but American Martyrs continued attacking and playing sharp to win in two games. In the 3rd place game, Holy Family of South Pasadena and St. Paul the Apostle of Westwood battled in three exciting games with the Knights of Holy Family coming out with the victory. Congratulations to all four teams and their fan base for a wonderful final four weekend at St Mary's Academy in Inglewood.
Second Place - St. Joseph of Long Beach
Third Place - Holy Family of South Pasadena
Fourth Place - St. Paul the Apostle of Westwood
