What is the Elk Grove Youth Sports Association?
The primary purpose of the Elk Grove Youth Sports Association (EGYSA) is to provide a forum for youth sports organizations to coordinate scheduling of fields for games, practices, try-outs, camps, and other training events. EGYSA can also channel efforts to improve and enhance current and future facilities to better meet the needs of the organizations as well as report and monitor maintenance requests. It also provides an opportunity to share the good, the bad, and the ugly issues that are a part of every youth sports organization. Sharing lessons learned and problem resolutions have helped other organizations deal with or avoid the same issues. The EGYSA meets monthly to review the status of future facilities, maintenance and improvement projects, to resolve any scheduling changes/conflicts, and to share “For the Good of the Game”. The EGYSA President acts as the general liaison between EGYSA and the Cosumnes Community Services District and the Elk Grove Unified School District facilities providers.
