The Football Club of New York extends our deepest thoughts, prayers and sympathies to the Scarpati family on the tragic passing of Matthew on Monday July 20, 2009
Matthew was a 2008 graduate of Half Hollow Hills HS East and had just completed his freshman year at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
FCNY was proud to have Matthew as a part of our organization. He played for the FCNY HBC Thunderbolts at several college showcase tournaments and was a member of the FCNY team that represented the United States at the
2007 Shrewsbury International Tournament in Shrewsbury, England.
We were glad to know him and will sorely miss him
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the
Matthew Scarpati Sholarship Fund...FCNY will forward all donations
