Please survey the field prior to practices and avoid any areas where sinking is still occurring due to standing water.  The cost to repair any damages may be forwarded on to our organization.  Additionally, the district’s grounds crew may not be able to make repairs until after the season, which would leave us with less than desirable field conditions.

Games should only be called if play becomes dangerous (field conditions or severe weather/lightening)

The annual rules test is now available and on-line Managers and Umpires must complete it as soon as possible http://www.leaguelineup.com/FormPreview.asp?url=franklinbaseball&FormID=79301 

Umpires please note that the results from this test will be used to prioritize game sign-up this year and you will not be paid for any game you umpire until the test is completed (and passed!) 

There's still time to register for the 2013 season for players and umpires.  Spots are filling up fast.  If you register for a division that has already reached capacity, we will entertain a waitlist but will not be able to guarantee that your child will be able to join a team.  (NOTE: Prep, Junior Softball and T-ball are still open).

Baseball BatRestrictions – 2013

1.     All baseball bats must display a legible USSSA BPF 1.15 certification stamp except as noted below.

a)      Wooden bats are allowed in all divisions.

b)     BBCOR certified bats are allowed in all divisions.

c)     Small barrel bats (2¼” max.) with non-composite barrels are allowed in T-ball and Prep divisions.

2.      Big Barrel (2 5/8” or 2 3/4”) baseball bats must display the USSSA 1.15 BPF certification logo as shown in figure

3.     Small Barrel (2¼”) bats must display the USSSA 1.15 BPF certification logo as shown in figure 1 OR  display the words USSSA BPF 1.15.
