GCAA Intramural Basketball 2009-2010
GCAA Basketball still accepting applications for the 2009-2010 Season subject to space availability and the payment of a late fee. The application can be downloaded from the menu items to the left.
GCAA Basketball has improved its programs significantly over the last 4
years. GCAA Basketball sets itself apart in the following ways.
GCAA had 52 intramural teams last year in the 2008-2009 season.
GCAA has intramural standings, playoffs and incorporates player clinics into the learning process. The standings and rosters are posted on our website.
GCAA had 17 travel teams in the 2008-2009 season. GCAA has 17 travel teams for the 2009-2010 season.
GCAA runs a Challenger Program for the physically and mentally challenged
with over 100 participants.
GCAA runs actual games for 2nd grade boys, 2-3 Girls.
GCAA will have morning times at the St. Paul's facility in the 2009-2010
season.
GCAA, given participation levels, can form leagues with fewer grades rather than have divisions with wide disparity of ages.
GCAA has drafts for all intramural teams 3rd grade and up in an effort to
make sure teams are balanced and fair.
GCAA's Program times on Saturdays at St. Paul's are as follows:
K-1 Clinic 8:00-9:00AM
2nd Grade Boys 9:00-10:00AM
2-3 Girls 10:00-11:00AM
4-5 Girls 9:00AM, 10:00AM or 11:15AM at GC Middle School
6-8 Girls 10:00AM-11:00 or 11:00-12:00
7-8 Boys 11:00-12:00
3rd Grade Boys 12:00-1:00
4th Grade Boys 1:00-2:30
5th-6th Boys* 2:30-4:00
* we expect 12 teams in this division so 4 teams will play on Mondays 6:00-7:30 at St. Paul's each week.
