    GDWL NEW WEBSITE
April 24, 2006 We've got a new website entirely now. We're getting tired of the whole leaguelineup and cjb deal. So type in http://www.gdwl.tk and enjoy the new site. Thank you. The Garrett Drive Wiffleball League

GDWL and the Green Bears nationall ranked!
April 19, 2006 Big news for the Garrett Drive Wiffleball League and it's Green Bears. According to Wiffleball ranking's website (www.goecities.com/wiffleballrankings) the GDWL has been ranked 6th in the South and the Green Bears nationally ranked 29th. The website only lists the top 30 teams in the country, so it is a honor to be mentioned for the Green Bears and only the top 10 leagues in each part of the country were mentioned, so that too is an honor.
"I can't believe that we're actually being nationally recognized. Finally. And we didn't even ask for it. Maybe that horrible review that wiffle2k gave us on this website raised some eyebrows and got some attention and they saw that the Green Bears went undefeated. It's hard to tell exactly why we are being nationally ranked, but I will not complain. I hope we can mantain being nationally ranked throughout the season and rise through the rankings to a more dominant position in the wiffleball community." - Josh Smith.
No official Spring Training sessions have occured thus far, but the regular season will begin in either mid or late May just as it did last year. League commissioner Josh Smith explained "Well...I wish we had more time to practice and goof around by playing a crapload of games during spring training, but we just haven't had that kind of time. I, myself, have had case studies, projects, and large tests to keep my occupied in college. Alex is also busy with college. The Neopolitan Creamers are a couple hundred miles away at West Virginia University and they'll be back this summer. Chestar works late hours at his job and plays softball with his church. The Blue Dragons are soon to move to Virginia - we will miss them much. But to be bluntly honest, we've all been too damn busy to get our swing on and that's what growing up is about, so those growing impacient need to stop getting their panties in a twist and wait this out. Believe me, there will be a 2006 season, or at least an attempt."
Keep checking in with us. In about a month or so we should have the season opener in the books. Good luck to all the leagues about to begin their season as well.

    G.D.W.L. is back
March 20, 2005 If you follow our myspace account you would've seen the flyer that the official date for our spring training to begin was this past Saturday (the 18th). But since we have 2 fans and little more participants, it doesn't really matter to begin with. But for kicks and giggles, we'll mention it here also.
It doesn't necessarily mean that we played this past Saturday. It's just the official date that we kicked off this shindig. The anticipation is moderate. The regular season is set for mid May and the college kids are ready to go. "I guarantee a perfect season...again!" boasts Greg Sowards. The Green Bears have steamrolled the competition for the past 3 seasons and went undefeated in the 2005 seasons. A lot of teams are up in the air to play this season, the Blue Dragons are expected to return and the Vipers are always iffy.
Rookie of the Year, Alex Pauley,is returning with anxious expectations of performing well start to finish. Alex states, "Pickles are better buttered." That strange personality only brings more to the table for the Green Bears.
Nobody really knows what's going to happen over the two weeks with the weather varying and is now unusually cold, thus affecting the odds of rounding up enough people. But as always everyone is welcome to play, including new people. Greg would like to emphasize more that he is going to perform at a caliber level.

See you next season. Keep it real until April, GDWL Spring Training 2006
November 14, 2005 Thank you everyone who has participated in some way to help out the league this year. This season will be a season I won’t forget anytime soon. To thank more people specifically, I must of course mention Trevor “Willis” Hetrick. Without you man, this league wouldn’t have played a game after July. You reminded us what it was all about man; you kept playing even though your team has yet to win a game. You still thirst for that first taste of victory and you continue to play until that moment will arrive. And I must admit, when you guys finally win a game, I’ll be dancing on the inside as well, even if your win is against us.
I’d like to thank the new teams that joined us this season, some of you disappeared just as quick as you were formed, others you only played a couple of games, and some of you stuck around and are now one of the elite. So thank you Cows (Aaron Prince, Nima S., Adam Hager, & Jake Logan) for coming out on Opening Day and playing, Prince was the only one of you to come back a few times after that game. But we still appreciate you for what you did play. Thank you Neapolitan Creamers for also being there on opening day. You guys couldn’t really get it together either after opening day. Zep has played with us for a long time, and you guys really were something out on the field for that season opener.
Thank you Hurricane City Beat Down for absolutely showing all of us up that Monday Night by running over the Blue Dragons 16 to 4. It was truly amazing watching that many wiffleballs fly over the home run fence. And thank you Blue Dragons for being such good sports and sticking with it and always having fun. You truly do inspire me to try harder and to enjoy the game even more. Of course, thank you Vipers. I was scared that you guys would not get it together at all this season. You were busy guys all summer long and finally got 2 games in late this summer, and for that much, we are grateful. Also, thank you Green Bears for being my friends not just my teammates. We’ve had a great season, all of us. I think we can say mission accomplished for sure when we ask ourselves if we’ve had a fulfilling and profitable season.
What’s next? You may ask. Well, we’re not sure. Most of the Neapolitan Creamers (Mike C. and Zep) are in Morgantown at WVU. They’ll be back during Christmas break (most of December and January). So we may finally get winter wiffleball together and go to Zep’s church for some ball. The biggest idea floating around is that we may start a badminton circuit, and yes, you heard me correctly – badminton. You know…racquets and shuttlecocks (birdies). It’ll have to be indoors of course, in a gym, large room, or a garage. So if anyone has a place that they can host such thing, please contact us.
Greg/Chestar, myself, and some others from the GDWL council will be getting together sometime and discuss how to distribute the awards for this past season. So don’t worry, expect the results to be posted on here before the new year. We'll try to update some pictures too, make the site a little better, organize things a bit, you know - clean it up some.
We're going to try to stay busy this year and you’re always welcome to come with us and do exactly the same. So let us know if you’ve got any ideas for this winter. Who knows? Maybe we’ll start playing wiffleball in the snow and ice. But that’s doubtful, very doubtful.

Thank you all for being a part of this great season, preseason/spring training, and off the field friendships. I couldn’t ask for a better season. Things worked out, just like they always do.

    Josh “Dr. Funky Green” Smith
Commissioner of the Garrett Drive Wiffleball League

    The Vipers are alive!...
October 1, 2005 Yes, you read correctly. The Vipers are alive. William Held joined us (with Matt Thornton) this past Monday on the 26th in Cathy's backyard (just outside of Garrett Drive) to play another classic game of wiffleball between the league's founding teams. Final score : Green Bears - 2, Vipers - 0. Only playing 2 innings, one out per team each inning. The game had a late start & they were running out of daylight. Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith hit his 8th career homerun in the top of the 1st putting him in the lead in the quest for being the first in the GDWL to reach the 10-HR milestone.
The Vipers forfieted at the end of the 2nd inning due to darkness. "It thrilled me to death to even see Matt and William side by side playing again. It makes me happy to see that the team isn't dead & that they are still doing it. We're going to come back to the Garrett Drive area more often so we can get more Viper games in. It was just like old times" - Josh Smith.

    Matt "Hollywood" Thornton...a Green Bear?
September 19, 2005 The Green Bears handed an 11 to 0 pounding to the Blue Dragons last night when Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith's brother Matt "Hollywood" Thornton was anxious to play. An exhibition game was played after the regular season game with Hollywood pitching all-time throughout the practice game. The idea was then brought up by Greg "Chestar" Sowards & Dr. Funky Green to sign another man onto the team. Seeing how Hollywood's brainchild team, The Vipers, is currently non-operational since the 3 teammates are always M.I.A. Hollywood was approached by Chestar & Dr. Funky Green for him to join their team for the rest of the season and as soon as he found another player for the Vipers he could leave the team with no hard feelings.
Hollywood accepted this offer & is now a Green Bear for the remainder of 2005 unless something happens with the Vipers.
"I don't want the Vipers to be lost in the history & become another team in this league that died & will be a fossil in our memories looking back on the league. The Vipers co-founded this league & good players and friends have come out of that team. We offered Matt this chance for statistical advancements that he could achieve since all he's doing is sitting on the sidelines with his team up in the air. This can be good for our team, he's a strong hitter, good pitcher & has the baseball fundamentals of playing that is necessary to play with confidence when the game is close. It's my pleasure to have my brother aboard" said Dr. Funky Green.
The Blue Dragons still in search of their first victory and The Green Bears still undefeated on the season. The Hurricane City Beat Down are somewhere, we just don't know where. The Cows are pretty much dead & the Neopolitan Creamers are in college up at Morgantown in WVU. So all that's left, for certain to depend on, is the Green Bears and Blue Dragons. If you or if you know someone who wants to start their own team, you know how to contact us. We'll see you out on the field or whatever surface we play on.

Bear-y close Labor Day game...Alex Pauley Player Of The Month?
September 6, 2005 Last night was the Labor Day game with the Blue Dragons facing off against the Green Bears. The Green Bears undefeated thus far in the season & the fresh-faced Blue Dragons still in search of their first win. On the mound were Greg Sowards & Kyle Hentrick again. This time, Greg didn't get the shutout or the complete game. We had 2 visitors come along the played with us (Joe Chapman & D.J.) along the Vipers' Matt "Hollywood" Thornton, D.J. joined up with the Blue Dragons for this game. Joe Chapman partnered up the Green Bears. Sowards gave up a run in the top of the first & the Blue Dragons were up 1 to zip for most of the game. In the bottom of the 3rd, the g. bears were still scoreless and down a run. Josh Smith pitch-hitted for Alex Pauley and lined out to D.J. in the outfield (who played excellent defense). With one out to go, Sowards & Chapman got on base & were in scoring position & it was once again Smith's turn up to bat. With 2 strikes, Smith finally hit one up the middle in the gap to tie the ball game & get a double with Chapman on third base ahead of him.
In the G.D.W.L. you can only pitch-hit once an inning & only twice a game. Alex Pauley's turn was up, he was up to bat. Pauley's been hitless all of his career with the G.D.W.L. let alone this season, since he's signed on this year. In the past 2 games, he'd struck out 4 times out of the 5 at bats he's had. It was looking like this game was going into extra innings. After a talk down from the rest of his team, Alex finally stood up to the plate. On one of the first pitches he hit it to right field driving in Chapman & Smith for the gamewinning hit. Alex's first career hit is a game-winning hit that keeps the Green Bears undefeated winning streak for the 2005 season alive.
Both teams played incredibly well, we were among some of the best talent in town no question about it. "Alex is by far, this month's player of the month, nothing can top that. I'm proud of him, I think I would've died of nerves if this game would've went into extra innings", said Josh Smith later on. We will later have comments from Alex Pauley himself in the next couple of days.
But CONGRATULATIONS ALEX PAULEY FOR BEING SEPTEMBER'S PLAYER OF THE MONTH!

Green Bears still undefeated for '05 season, Dragons are blue?
September 4, 2005 The Green Bears & the Dragons (now the BLUE Dragons) met up at the Barn in the Hurricane City Park last night at around 8 p.m. Representing the Green Bears were Josh Smith, Greg Sowards, & Alex Pauley & for the Blue Dragons were Trevor aka "Willis" Hentrick, and his brother Nick "Kyle" Hentrick. Kyle & Greg were the pitching duel of the night. Sowards ended up throwing a complete game shutout with 2 strikeouts on the night. Kyle didn't do too shabby on the mound either, throwing 4 strikouts. But when it all comes down to it, it takes runs to win games & the Green Bears were up on it with Josh Smith going 3 for 3 at the plate with 2 doubles, a single & 2 RBIs; and Greg Sowards going 2 for 3 with a single, double, & RBI. Alex never reached base with 3 strikeouts, but did contribute on defense very well, particularly when he ended up on the ground preventing Kyle from advancing to 2nd on what could have been a rundown.
Willis reached base in the top of the 3rd to get his brother to 2nd base, that was as close as they came to scoring, but Greg Sowards threw another strikeout to end the game at around 15 till 9. Final score Green Bears - 3; Blue Dragons - 0.
"It was a really good game, good defense and tough pitching. We finally just got on base and made due with what we had on offense & managed to score consistently enough to keep the pressure off so it'd be easier for us to win. We're 3 and 0 this season so far, and I'm very happy with the way we are performing even though we aren't doing our usual homerun hitting, cycle hitting, no-hitter style, we're more or less finess now. But, I'm very glad to have the Blue Dragons with us, they've already improved so much on defense and in pitching. The Barn has new fencing around the basketball court where we play now, so the game moved faster & we still ran out of daylight but the streetlights kept us at bay enough to see what was going on. But we're going to try to play more often for what little bit of summer we have left and into the fall. Go to the city park on Labor Day, we'll be there." -- Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith

    Dragons?...Another game in the books.
August 15, 2005 Well Josh & Greg were sitting in Greg's house in boredom wondering what to do. They called up friend, Greg "The Polish Wonder" Szepelak to see if he could get his team together for a game of wiffleball. Zep, as he is also called, wasn't home, still out of town in Illinois. So...Josh then, recalled a certain observer/fan of the website/league (to an extent) by the name of Trevor who has offered his assistance in playing in future games if we need an extra man to even up the teams. Josh & Greg also hit up Garrett Drive to find William "Killer" Held. He was home!?..but wasn't allowed to make it to the City Park where the game would be held. Josh finally contacted Trevor by this point. "I felt that before things slip away & the season is definately over, that we owe this guy at least a hit around" said Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith. They met at the Hurricane City Park & did just that, on the tennis courts. "We've grown accustomed to playing on bizarre platforms. We've played on the skatepark, on the basketball court, as long as it's managable, we'll play anywhere" Josh continued.
Trevor's brother, Nick, became present, in which the offer was made by Trevor to challenge Josh & Greg to a game. The offer was eagerly accepted. And the game was on. Josh managed to hit a cycle, & so did the newcomer Nick. Trevor also did well, as did Greg. The area that the game was played was perfect. It was around 9 p.m. & the lights were on all around the tennis court. Final score, Green Bears 13; Dragons (the brothers, Trevor & Nick) 5. Good game, however, with lots of runs & basehits. Good pitching too.
This new team was literally crafted in minutes. Hopefully, they'll hold it together. And they seem to have some move about them & ideas to input. Trevor had this to say about his first experience with the GDWL "It was fun to be in my first game in the GDWL against the Green Bears with my brother Kyle even though we lost we did pretty good out there for our first time playing and had a couple nice hits and one good rally overall are performance was good."
We welcome the Dragons to the league.

First game in a month & a half!?
July 9, 2005 "I have grown tired of the laziness & lack of committment that has been made evident by some of the parties involved in the league. I will not tolerate this, none of us in the core group will. If need be, we will move on without the expansion teams. We have no problem with doing that, we've done it before. All this extra weight is doing is holding us back & slowing us down. We have some great players on the backfat part of the league, & they're more than welcome to stay, everyone is, but we need more committment from you than what you've shown so far. EVERY MONDAY, NO QUESTIONS, ANDS - IFS - OR BUTS. If your on vacation or out of town, that's understandable, but laziness we have a zero-tolerance of. You can play video games anytime. Those of you who are or are not in the core group of the league that have shown up regularly & have been supportive & committed, ignore the harshness & discontent in my saying that we will, if we have to, push the Cows & Neopolitan Creamers teams to the side & we will press on with out league without them if they do not get their acts together. Organization & coordination is easy with our league, lethargic deeds are not recognized." That was Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith commenting on why the league has not had a regular season game since late May.
But we got a game together last night. It was just the basics, no gemics, no stalling, no bones about it. The bare necessities with Greg "Chestar" Sowards, Josh Smith, Matt "Hollywood" Thornton, & Travis Hall at Garrett Drive. Sowards threw a complete game shutout vs the Vipers. Josh got the bats going in the bottom of the 2nd on their 4-run run on the Vipers. Hollywood fought back pain throughout the entire game & Travis continued to get his feet wet with the league. Final score 4 - 0, Green Bears victory. The league is hoped to be revived enough to be thoroughly resurrected soon to have games regularly as planned. Rumors still speculating that the league is rounding up a team to go to London (OH) Wiffleball League's tournament in August.

    GDWL Memorial Day Tournament
May 30, 2005 Well it's week 2 of the GDWL Regular Season, & we had some trouble gathering sufficient rosters from all the teams together for regular season play, so all those who showed up, split up into teams having 3 inning, 3 out exhibition games. The last game was a competition for an old 1996 H.B.L. trophy that Aaron "Agent Matthew Jones" Prince had. Those who attended : Josh Smith, Greg Szepelak, Caitlin Twisdale, Greg Sowards, Jake Logan, Aaron Prince, Tyler Call, Adam Hager (for about 12 seconds), Matt Thornton, & Andrew Hankins. Also, there were some newbies just outside the fence watching us, some 12 year old little leaguers. Their names were John, Seth, & Jeremy; they played well & we'll probably never see them again, but we have pictures at least. We played for about 2 and a half or 3 hours & had a fun with some disputes, but nothing major.
Next week, we hope to return to regular season play, for some reason the message isn't getting across : WE PLAY EVERY MONDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING AT THE HURRICANE CITY PARK!!! Remember that. Try your best to keep your calendars available for that little time every week.
For those of you who don't know some of the league's tradition, we vote on who we think performed the best for the month. We call it The Player of The Month. So, if you will, please vote on who you believe has performed the best in the month of May. Fans are allowed to vote as well. But Please vote once. If you can, e-mail your vote to Josh Smith at silverhawk74@hotmail.com

2005 GDWL Season Opener finally comes to pass
May 23, 2005 The weather was mild, & the Hurricane City Park basketball court was full of wiffleball players from around & about Hurricane. The Green Bears entire roster showed up (a little late, but they came) as the Cows & Neopolitan Creamers were finishing up, the Creamers 10-run mercy-ruled the Cows 14 to 4. Since the Vipers couldn't make it, the Green Bears played the winner (Neopolitan Creamers). Their game was delayed due to persistent rainfall, as the Green Bears were getting a rally going in the bottom of the 1st as they were behind 5 - 2. Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith had this to say about the event "I am thankful of everyone who showed up, some new faces that I didn't expect for some, but nevertheless, I am thankful they came. We must have had about 20 come out, which is great, my whole team, & the Cows whole team showed, which is amazing. Ann Finley showed as well to umpire, she did a great job & I'm glad she came. The Cows are a pretty good looking team, they'll improve with time. The Creamers are amazing with the batting lineup, kept Andrew, Chase, Alex, & myself busy out in the outfield. Although it rained, I had a blast, & I'm sure the others did as well. We'll be doing it again next Monday, so that gets rid of some of that sad goodbye feeling that I & some of the other seniors in the league are getting. Thanks everyone who came out."
The Neopolitan Creamers displayed some amazing hitting, Ben Mcrae with a unique dipping batting style sending balls soaring to Left & Center field. The Polish Wonder's improving swing also delivering some rockets out in the outfield. Mike Channel hitting them down the line, & Matt Burdette putting his vast baseball experience to good use. The Cows did well at the plate too, just good defense on the Creamers part, from what I could see. The Green Bears were showing good plate potential too, not even getting through their 6-man lineup once before the rain set in. "All the newer guys on my team did a fantastic job, Alex improved on the hitting, & we saw Andrew display his ability for the first time (he caught a few line drives during practice before the game, & hit the ball quite well), & Chase doing well, which is why he's batting 2nd in the lineup. Tyler did well to, he got on base, but was pegged out later. Andrew didn't get the chance to hit during the game, Alex was up to bat when we postponed the game. We all went back to the Red Barn that's in Center Field & talked about next week & what happened that night. We went back to Greg's house & the night was overall, just a good time." - Josh Smith

Final - after 2 innings, it was 10-run ruled
    Cows..................4
    Neopolitan Creamers...14

Postponed - PPD in bottom of the first, rain
    Neopolitan Creamers...5
    Green Bears...........2

The sooncoming 2005 G.D.W.L. regular season
May 10, 2005 Okay, I'm going to tell you everything you need to know for this regular season, so listen up. On May 16th (this coming Monday) at 6 p.m. The Green Bears will face off against the Vipers @ G.D.W.L. Ballpark (at Garrett Drive, which is a street for those of you not in the know), and possibly the Neopolitan Creamers against The Cows @ Hurricane City Park. That will be the season opener. We will be aiming to play regular season games at least every monday from May 16th to August 15th. We may have weekend regular season games, or we may have tournaments, practices, or perhaps travel somewhere to play (probably not), or all or neither; you know how that goes. Yes, fans & others can watch the games, if you need directions, ask us or e-mail us. If you still want to start a team, you can, we're open to more teams, we welcome it. All you need is 2 people to have a team, but we'd reccommend 3. And if you don't think you can find a friend because you smell bad or something, you can consult the Neopolitan Creamers (see Greg Szepelak) or The Cows (see Aaron Prince) if you can join their teams, they have a few roster openings & are eager to fill them. E-MAIL US (silverhawk74@hotmail.com) IF YOU ARE EVEN REMOTELY INTERESTED!
We are aiming for at least 20 regular season games this year, we all need to stay in contact & it is going to take more than myself to do that, so that's where we all need to stay somewhat united. This is more than likely or last season, so we need to make it great. So for those of you who are new to the league, welcome, for those of you who are veterans, welcome back, and perhaps future players/participants, make yourselves known. If you want a phone #, e-mail me & I'll supply it there for you to call me if you are in dire need of information on this. Make this summer great, wheather if be playing wiffleball or doing whatever else you do.

    See you on the field!

GDWL trying to jump start 2005 early
February 23, 2005 Hello all, this is commissioner, Josh "Dr. Funky Green" Smith, here to tell you that an effort is being made to continue the G.D.W.L. despite the eventual demise that it will become with us all going to college in the fall. But we will not surrender without a fight. We've been trying to top the spring training we had in 2003 to gear up for our first full regular season for the 2003 season. 2004 didn't go quite as planned, conflicting schedules and abnormal traffic situations, & the such. But this is 2005, most definately to be likely to be the G.D.W.L.'s final season. We must do well & prosper in this 2005 season, we must start it off with a bang and anyother form of an otomotapeia. We are welcoming anyone who wants to join to play some wiffleball for spring training. There's no strings attached, there never were, & there certainly are no strings attached now. Even if you don't have a teammate, come as you are, as one, & we will partner you up with somebody. We can keep score for kicks or just play until it gets dark. It's spring training, it's laid-back, it's about preparing & improving your game. But if you're a newbee to this & you want to be involved with spring training, you don't have to join the league during spring training if you don't want, there is no pressure, there is no cost.
It's simple to be involved with the G.D.W.L., no pressure whatsoever. But in all seriousness, anyone who is remotely interested in playing should do so, it's a blast, I've been playing the game for over 10 years, as have some of my closest friends involved in the sport. Weather you are male or female, young or old, democrat or republican, we want you to sieze the opportunity that is in your grasp at this moment.

    Godspeed, pitch, swing;

    Joshua "Dr. Funky Green" Smith
commissioner of the Garrett Drive Wiffleball League in Hurricane, WV

    The Tour De Hurricane
September 25, 2004 This afternoon, The GDWL gathered at Garrett Drive to prepare to leave for Lexington Estates, to play with Allen Meadows & set the foundation for him to start his own league. The ones in attendance (who were able to come) : Dr. Funky Green, The Polish Wonder, Chestar, & Hollywood. They headed over to Lexington Estates (about 5 to 8 miles away from Garrett Drive) & arrived at around 5 p.m. Allen Meadows was eager to begin, he showed us the field, which is massive, & the name of the street 'Winners Circle' (& no we're not making this up, that's the real name of the street). So, Allen decided to call his league Winners Circle Wiffleball League. The 5 that were there (Allen's teammate couldn't make it in time) had a small exhibition game (called the Lexington Estates Wiffleball Orientation). Allen was all-time pitcher, Dr. Funky Green & Hollywood paired off against The Polish Wonder & Chestar. Dr. Funky Green began audio-ly recording the game (dubbing it 'GDWL radio') around the top of the 2nd inning, it was a moderate success with sound & quality (if we ever figure out how to add it to the site, we will do so). However, Chestar & Hollywood had trouble getting along numerous times throughout the Tour De Hurricane, they were in near brawls at times, Dr. Funky Green had to break up the spats. The score ended 12-3, winners - Dr. Funky Green & Hollywood. Hollywood hit numerous homeruns while Dr. Funky Green only hit one homerun, a grand-slam. The Polish Wonder & Chestar also had some homeruns, but had trouble getting their baserunners home.
Anyways, they all took a break after some-innings & went to get a break at the Cheveron, then they decided to go to Garrett Drive to get a regular season game in (seeing since Killer was up for it), they went & played, the final score : 4-1, Green Bears win. The Polish Wonder made his career debut, on the mound, pitched for 2 innings with no earned runs scoring. Chestar relieved in the third & Allen "Bob" Meadows hit a HUGE homerun off of Chestar, the Vipers only score. Dr. Funky Green went 4 for 5 up at bat, The Polish Wonder hit a 2-run homerun in the top of the first, Chestar had a little trouble getting on base, as well did The Polish Wonder, but they all managed to get hits when it counted & buckled down on defense. Afterwards, they all returned to Lexington Estates, & finished the day in the darkness.
