Chairman's Cup Quarter Final Draw
November 17, 2009
BasketballScotland made the draw today, and we face the long trip north to Inverness, to take on old on-court rivals (but off-court friends) Highland Bears. Bears beat us in the final of the competition in 2007, in an overtime thriller.
The fixture date is still to be confirmed, but the deadline date is 20th December.
The rest of the draw sees Dundee Sharks host Midlothian Saints, a cracking clash between last year's Lothian top 2 Edinburgh Comets & Polonia Phoenix, and Pentland Star travel to Perth Phoenix. There is potential for an all-Lothian semi-final lineup, but all teams have hard work to do to make that happen.

Farewell Blues
October 29, 2009
We've today received the sad news that Newbattle Blues have had to withdraw from the league, citing lack of players.
We'd like to thank all the Blues players we've played against, for the warm welcome we've received at Dalkeith over the years, and wish them all the best for the future. Hopefully they can find another way to stay involved in the game.

Last piece of the jigsaw?
October 12, 2009
One more player has joined the ranks - the club welcomes Natalie Fairgrieve to the squad for this season.
Nat has been training with the squad for a couple of weeks now, and brings her National League experience to this year's assault on the league and cups.

September 11, 2009

New kit arrives

The team will be looking the business an the way to games, and during warmup, as well as on court this season.
Our extra club hoodies and new warmup tops arrived from kit sponsor Zoti Sports yesterday, and they're the business!
Further squad changes
August 29, 2009
As training for the new season re-starts, we have 2 more players leaving and 2 more possibly coming in.
Amy Martin has left the club for Lothian rivals, Polonia Phoenix, on a season-long loan. We wish Amy all the best, except in games against us, when we hope she has a nightmare. Pauline Dundas is struggling to make a regular commitment to the club, so as decided not to renew her registration this year.
We also have a new player just joined, and 1 more interested, further details will be released in due course.
Sponsorship deal renewed
July 18, 2009
Grangemouth are delighted to announce that we have extended our existing sponsorship deal for another 2 seasons, with Zoti Sports.
This season we will be adding warmup tops to the existing equipment that we have from Zoti - 2 sets of strips and club hoodies.
Both Zoti and ourselves are delighted with the way that our partnership is working, and we would ask that anyone interested in either replica Grangemouth equipment, or if you want equipment for your own club, please contact us and we will put you in touch with Zoti.
Squad changes for new season - 2 in, 2 out
July 18, 2009
We're delighted to announce the return to the club of Jacq Jones & Pauline Richardson.
Both left the club a few seasons ago to play at National Level with Falkirk Fury, but have now committed to Grangemouth for the season coming.
Both have gained massive experience during their time at Fury, playing against the best players Scottish Basketball have to offer, and that experience can only enhance our squad.
On the down side, we will be without the services of Mel Spears & Rona McGarva this season. Mel and her husband David are looking forward to the arrival of their 1st child in December. Rona has work comittments that make getting to Grangemouth and back for training and games very difficult.
