    HCSC Board of Directors Elections
    HAMBURG COMMUNITY SOCCER CLUB

    Elections for the following positions in the Hamburg Community Soccer Club will be held at the Annual General Meeting, Monday, January 18th, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the Hamburg Community Senior Center:

    President
    Secretary
    Registrar
    Trustee-at-large

    According to club by-laws, nominations will be accepted at November and December Board meetings. Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Hamburg Senior Center. Final date for nominations is Monday, December 21st, 2009. The term is for a two year time period beginning February 1st through January 30th of the second year following. If you are nominating someone for a position, please ask them in advance if they are willing to accept the position.

    Officers must be members of the club. Members are parents/and or legal guardians, coaches, referees and participants who are currently registered with HCSC.

    Duties:

    President of the Board

    The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Club and shall have general and active management of the activities of the Club, and shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried into effect.
    The President of the Board shall preside at all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors and perform such duties, as custom and parliamentary procedure requires.
    The president shall appoint all committees subject to the approval of the Executive Board. The president shall serve as a member ex-officio of all committees.
    The president shall execute all authorized conveyances, contracts, or other obligations in the name of the Club except where required by law to be otherwise signed and executed and except where the signing and the execution thereof shall be expressly delegated by the Board of Directors to some other officer or agent of the Club.

    The Secretary

    The Secretary shall give due notice of the time and place of all meetings.
    The Secretary shall attend all meetings of the Board and all meetings of the members and record all votes and the minutes of all proceedings
    The Secretary shall conduct the correspondence and read any called for by the President.
    The Secretary shall maintain an attendance record of all club meetings and all other club records.
    The Secretary shall have such other duties as delegated by the Board of Directors.
    The club shall maintain a post office box at the Hamburg, Michigan Branch of the United States Postal Service to serve as the club mailing address. The Secretary and Treasurer shall be provided with access to this box.

    The Registrar

    The Registrar shall keep a complete roster of membership and a current team directory.
    The Registrar shall plan and carry out an annual registration drive prior to the fall season.
    The Registrar shall supply all affiliates with necessary information.



    Board Meetings
    You can attend monthly board meetings the third Monday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Hamburg Community/Senior Center on Merrill Road. The board meetings are not secret and you will probably learn a lot about how our programs operate and the board will benefit from additional viewpoints and any help you can provide in "making the club go".
