Hoosier Elite ran away with the team competition boasting 7 champions on the day (Alex Mosconi, Derek Blubaugh, Joshua Oliver, Caleb Oliver, Peyton Asbury, Griffin Stin, Bryce Carson), 1 runner up (Owen Sego), 5 Third place winners (Cael Miracle, Geno Mosconi, Hope Miracle, Anthony Mosconi, and Cade Cooper, and 2 Fourth place finishers (Trystin Kirkoff, Ethan Sego).

Joshua Oliver (shown right) is Hoosier Elite's Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. Joshua scored the most team points for the Academy by going 4-0 with 4 pins to win his bracket in Martinsville. Way to go Joshua!

Hoosier Elite places 5th in a very competitive Dixie Duals on Friday. The duals were definitely worth the effort as our wrestlers had the opportunity to compete in five dual meets the day before Dixie Nationals. A special congratulations goes out to Alex Mosconi for going an undefeated 5-0 with five falls during the duals. Great Job Alex!

I am very proud of the efforts of everyone involved. The kids wrestled their hearts out. They really wanted to win this for Jack Pintos and they did. We plan to send the trophy, Team photo, and card to Jack's parents through Jack's wrestling club. Hoosier Elite had 11 finalists and won 7 championships. I am very proud of the kids and the effort they put into competing. I was encouraged by some of the things that I saw from our younger wrestlers. I believe the kids all learned from the experience and are better wrestlers for having stepped up to the tough challenge - Coach Miracle

Miracle had a 3-1 record during her competition, capturing her first three bouts to earn a spot in the finals. She opened by pinning Naveen Naveen of India, then stopped 2011 Cadet World bronze medalist Ekaterina Myagkova of Russia, 4-1, 4-0. In the semifinals, Miracle defeated Alyona Kolesnik of Azerbaijan, 1-0, 3-0. In the gold-medal finals, Miracle was defeated by Ai Kuradate of Japan. Miracle was competing in her second FILA Cadet World Championships, after placing eighth last year at 49 kg/108 lbs. She was a FILA Cadet and a Junior National champion this year leading up to the World Championships and served as this years Cadet World Team Captain.
