MAY 18 SOFTBALL RESULTS
 Hilton New York survived a scare from St.Regis, scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win 4-3. In other close contests Carlyle edged Hudson Hotel in 9 inning, 12-10, while Harvard Club came back to defeat Waldorf=Astoria 8-7. Harvard Club also knocked out Trump Soho 11-1, while Roosevelt did the same to Hudson, 15-0.
HOTEL SOCCER LEAGUE TO START PLAY IN JUNE
 The Hotel Employee Soccer League is currently slated to begin the 2013 season on Saturday, June 15. Then, after a 1 week bye for all teams on June 22, the league will resume on June 29th and them play every Saturday to the end of August. With 7 teams in the league, at least 1 team will get a bye each week. As of now, each team will play 8 games, with the top-2 teams meeting in the Championship August 31. The League is still awating from the NYC Parks department about additional field availability in the fall. If additional dates are available in September, or if we suddenly have extra fields is June, then we will add additional games for each team.
What Is The H.E.S.L.???
The Hotel Employee's Sports League (HESL) is a sports program of the Neighborhood Service Council of the New York Hotel & Motel Trades Council. Hotels, motels, clubs and restaurants signatory to a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the New York Hotel & Motel Trades Council are eligible to participate in the leagues and programs offered. Participation must be approved in advance by the Sports Commissioner and is based upon availability and compliance with the HESL rules and regulations.
