Christmas Caroling ~ A shuttle of carolers will visit around town spreading the joyous sounds of Christmas.

Christmas Parade ~ The Christmas Parade will begin at 1pm.

Tuesday night dance classes with Ms. Cindy, Intro 1 and Tap, will have their make-up class on Saturday, December 12, 2009.

HARRINGTON HURRICANE ELITE & STORM TRY-OUTS
Practice December 3rd & 4th ~ 6pm - 8pm
Try Outs December 5th ~ 9am - 11am (possibly later if needed)
Try Outs Make Up December 12th ~ 9am - Noon
We encourage everyone wishing to try out to attend both practices. This is where you will learn the dance and cheer routines for try outs. You only need to attend one day of try outs, but are required to be present for the entire time set.
Tiny Cheer
Ages 4-6
Will perform exhibitions at local events and “possibly the state tournament”. Once a week class with beginner (Novice) instruction on motions, jumps, dance, stunting & tumbling. Practices will be Fridays from 6-7pm. Cost is $35/month Registration is Saturday, December 12th at 1pm.
Hurricane “Rain Team”
Ages 6-15

Practices will be Wednesdays from 6-8:30pm and Saturdays from 10:30am-12:30pm. Cost is $70/month Registration is immediately following try-outs.
All Teams require a monthly tuition and good attendance! In addition to tuition, participants will be financially responsible for (but not limited to) uniforms, accessories, competitions fees and travel expenses for competition.
Please wear sneakers, comfortable clothes, and bring something to drink. Please also eat something lite before attending.

SOCCER CAMPS

We are pleased to offer a variety of soccer camps this summer. Registrations are already being accepted. All early registrations will award the participant with a FREE soccer jersey.

SOCCER REFEREE CLINICS
RECERTIFICATION CLINICS ON DEC 5TH & 6TH AND JAN 9TH & 10TH AT WESLEY COLLEGE
All USSF registered Delaware referees are required to attend the 2010 re-certification clinic scheduled for Dec 5th and 6th and Jan. 9th and 10, 2010 at Wesley College Auditorium in Dover, DE. Directions are below. The clinic will start with registration at 8:30 AM and run from 9-2 PM. You need only to attend one of the four re-certification clinics. Attendance is MANDITORY to maintain grade or to advance to the next level and remain in good standing. The clinic fee is $20 plus the USSF registration fee payable to DSRA if you haven’t registered on-line in which case it is $60. (e.g.$40 for Grade 8 and 9 referees). For additional information contact Frank Herkes at herkesfe@comcast.net. Again this year the 2010 soccer badges and law books will be provided to the clinic participants. This will be the only place to get the badges for 2010. Be sure to register on-line as it will make the registration process in the morning shorter. The USSF written test will be given after the clinic.
Recertification Registration for 2010 will be again done on-line. Detailed information can be found in the registration packet or post card you will receive in the mail soon. You can use any browser to access the website, www.ussoccer.info, to register. The website will ask you for a username and password. Your username is R plus your USSF ID# (e.g., R0031420187964273) and your password is your last name. In addition to the USSF registration fee that is paid on-line ($40 ) there will be an additional $20 clinic fee. A $5 Risk Assessment fee for referees 18yrs and older is covered in the fee.
USSF Grade 9 to Grade 8 Bridge Clinic on December 5th, 2009
A USSF Bridge clinic for referee upgrade from Recreational Grade 9 to Grade 8 will be held on Saturday, December 5th at the Wesley College Auditorium (Directions below) in Dover, DE. Referees should be 14 years old by the date of the clinic. The clinic will begin at 8:30AM Saturday morning and run to 5:00PM. Cost of the clinic is $60 payable to DSRA. If you have re-registered for 20010 on-line, the clinic fee is $20. The clinic is limited to the first 25 referees who pre-register on the referee website under the "Registration" link of the referee website. Referee should bring their lunch, pencil and paper.

You can go to the referee website, www.socrefde.com to find a link to information on the FIFA Laws of the Game prior to the course.
Directions to the auditorium at Wesley College From north of Dover take Rt. 13 south to the Delaware Agriculture Museum. At the Museum you will see the sign on the right for Wesley College. Bear right at the sign onto Alt 13 get in the left hand lane. At the second light bear left on to N. State St. for 0.6 mile and turn right on
Cecil St. The Wesley auditorium (Wells Theater) is on the left in Slaybaug Hall. From south From South of Dover take Rt. 13 north. You will see a TGIF Fridays (on the left side of the highway. At the next left hand turn you will see the sign to Wesley College on the left. Turn left at the traffic light on to then turn right on to N.State St. The second left hand turn will be Cecil St. Wesley auditorium is on the left in Slaybaug Hall.

January 16th& 23rd, 2010 Grade 8 Entry level clinic at Hockessin Complex
A USSF Entry Grade 8 Level clinic for new referees will be held on January 16th and 23rd at the Hockessin Complex. New referees should be 14 years old by the date of the clinic. Cost of the clinic is $60 payable to DSRA. Please pre-register under "Registrations" at www.socrefde.com. A third part of this clinic will is an on-field clinic on a Saturday morning at the start of the recreational season from 8AM to 12:30PM at either Kirkwood complex, Hockessin complex, Cecil County, MOT or Schutte Park in Dover. The venue for the referee will be dependent on the referee's zip code. New referees will be doing matches and will be required to wear their uniform. This is mandatory for completion of the USSF course. You must attend all three dates for completion of the course. Successful completion of the course requires being present at both sessions and passing the referee test .The clinic will begin at 8:30AM Saturday January 16th and run to 5PM. On Saturday, January 23rd it will begin again at 8:30 and continue to 5PM. Referees should bring lunch for both Saturdays and a #2 pencil for the test. No uniform or equipment is required for the clinic. Directions to the clinic venue can be found on the Hockessin website, www.hockessinsoccerclub.com.
ADULT FITNESS
The Harrington Parks & Recreation Center will be open for any adult wishing to get out of the elements and walk. Treadmills, universal weights, and an exercise bike are available for use also. Adults will be able to use the center Monday through Friday while we are open. If you have any questions, just call the office at 398-7975. See you inside!!!
