ABOUT THE HO'OKINO VOLLEYBALL CLUB
Aloha kakou and welcome to the Ho'okino Volleyball Club from the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Here you will find our roster of players & coaches, practice/tournament schedules, pictures, and future travel/events plans. We are a competitive girls volleyball program dedicated to developing junior athletes for competition in local and mainland tournaments. Our Club's goals are to teach life skills through volleyball, to develop self-esteem, sportsmanship, competitiveness, and to create lasting friendships within our OHANA (family). During this development we hope that everyone learns to appreciate this wonderful game. NOVEMBER 20, 2009 - INITIAL MEMBERSHIP FEE IS DUE THIS SUNDAY
The initial membership fee of $250 is due this Sunday, November 22, 2009. We will be holding off on collecting the travel deposit ($300) until the December membership fee installment. Please write your check to the HO'OKINO VOLLEYBALL CLUB.
NOVEMBER 16, 2009 - OFFISLAND TRAVEL
Now that we are getting closer to completing all of our teams the next item on the agenda is offisland travels. Here are the options;
Haili Volleyball Tournament (Hilo): March 22 - 24, 2010 (Jr. Tour.) & March 24 - 26, 2010 (Adult Tour.).
Ho'oikaika Volleyball Tournament (Kauai): May 21 - 22, 2010 (12U), May 28 - 29, 2010 (14U), & May 29 - 30, 2010 (16U).
AAU Girls' Junior National Volleyball Championships (Florida): June 16 - 19, 2010 (12U, 14U, & 15U) & June 20 - 23, 2010 (16U & 17U).
Disney Summer Volleyball Soiree (California): June 25 - 27, 2010 (All Divisions).
Volleyball Festival (Arizona): June 28 - July 3, 2010 (All Divisions).
Note: Travel time; leave two days before the tournament and return two days after the tournament is completed.

NOVEMBER 12, 2009 - HVC CALENDAR FOR NOV. & DEC. 2009
In the Handout section on the left menu is the Club calendar for November and December 2009. Hard copies of the calendar will be available this week at our gym practices.
NOVEMBER 6, 2009 - IMPACT CERTIFICATION (UPDATE)
Registration is now being accepted for the IMPACT Clinic scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Windward Community College-Hale Kuhina, Room No. 115.
Coaches, chaperones, and parents are welcome to attend this clinic.
If you are interested please contact Coach Jon at hvc01@hotmail.com and we will email you the application form.
We will be submitting a list of names to the Region later this week.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2009 - SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH KAEPA U.S.A.
The Ho‘okino Volleyball Club has just signed a two year Sponsorship Agreement with Kaepa U.S.A. This Agreement will allow our athletes to be outfitted in the latest apparel offered by Kaepa U.S.A.
If you would like to be a part of our Ohana please don't forget to register for our upcoming 2010 USAV tryouts.

PEAK PERFORMANCE V-BALL TRAINING NEWS
OCTOBER 16, 2009 - 2010 WINTER VOLLEYBALL TRAINING
Our next volleyball training session will be held during March 2010. These sessions will focus on the participants’ individual skills sets. Registration will start during February 2010.
This six weeks training program is for girls 14 years and younger and the fee will be $90.00. Days, times, and gym site will be determined at a later date.
Our goals for this training session will be to enhance the girls’ club experience or to develop the skills level of girls that are not involved in club volleyball.
