OFF-SEASON TRAINING CAMP BEGINS JUNE 3rd

Saturday, June 1st - 9:00-11:00 - Roe Park, Highland Falls - at the Pavillion. 

 

REGISTRATION FEES:  

 

FOOTBALL-   Returning Players: $90 registration fee.  $30 Raffle Fee.  TOTAL = $120.00

 

New Players or Returning Players Needing a New Jersey:

 

$90 registration fee.  $55 Game Jersey Fee.  $30 Raffle Fee.  TOTAL = $175.00 

 

Each player receives their own game jersey with last name on back.  Registration fee includes everything your child needs to play: helmet, shoulder pads, insert pads, game pants, and full practice uniform.

Raffle Fee is per family.  Multiple children in a family receive $30 discount per child after the first child.

JBK FOOTBALL OFF-SEASON TRAINING CAMP

 

Monday, June 3rd, and continuing every Monday during June and July begins the unofficial start to the 2013 JBK football season.  The camp is open to all registered football players from all teams.  Come out and meet your coaches, meet your new teammates, and get a head start on the season as coaches go through conditioning drills and basic fundementals of the game.

 

This is non-contact, players need only to wear shorts, t-shirt, and cleats.  Please bring water!!

 

Fickens Field in Highland Falls from 6:00-7:30 pm.

 

 

 

 
The Town of Highlands/West Point Youth Football Association operates 4 teams at 4 different age levels.  Mighty Mites: 5-7 year olds (no weight limit); Division 1: 8-9 year olds (weight limit 120 lbs); Division 2: 10-11 year olds (weight limit 135 lbs); Division 3: 12-14 year olds (weight limit 155 lbs).  14 year olds born after August 1st and not in the 9th grade, are eligible to play.  The date to determine division play is the age your child is on or before November 30th of the current season.
 
Our organization is part of the Orange County Youth Football League (OCYFL).   We play under the rules and regulations set forth by the OCYFL.  Each Junior Black Knights team has 8 games, four home and four away. Our home games are played at Shea Stadium at West Point. The road games are held throughout Orange County & vicinity. Practices take place at either Fickens Field, O'Neill High School, or the Intermediate School in Highland Falls.
 
Practice for all teams begins  August 1st.  The season begins the first week of September and finishes at the end of October or early November.  Playoffs for those teams that qualify are held the 1st two weeks of November, and the league championship "Super Bowl" is held the 3rd week of November.  The Head Coach from each cheer squad and football teams set their own practice schedule.  JBK DOES NOT MAKE THE GAME SCHEDULE.  THE OCYFL SCHEDULES ALL GAMES, HOME & AWAY, FOR EVERY TOWN IN THE LEAGUE.
 
JBK also runs weekly Skills and Conditioning camps every Monday, free to all registered players, beginning the 1st Monday in June until the last Monday of July.
 
The Junior Black Knights Cheerleaders will be entering their sixth season in 2013.  Those interested in becoming a JBK cheerleader can contact our Cheer Director, Linda Green at jbkcheerleading@yahoo.com.   Cheerleaders also range from 5-14 years old, and it is the goal of the JBK program to have a cheerleading squad for each JBK football team. 
 
Players receive all equipment needed to participate including helmet, all pads, game pants and practice uniform.  Personal items needed to be provided by the player are mouthpiece, supporter & cup, and cleats.  Each player also receives his/her very own game jersey personalized with player last name to keep as part of registration fee.  Equipment will be distributed to all players one week prior to the start of practice.  No equipment will be distributed to a player unless a 2013 dated medical consent form is provided, all required paperwork is handed in, and registration fee is paid in full.  All new players must provide a copy of their birth certificate.
