Nathan Bobrowski, 2008 JHS graduate, is completing his collegiate playing career this year at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. Last year, the St. Edward's Hilltoppers came within two wins of competing in the NCAA D2 College World Series, finishing third at the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament. They ended the year ranked 19th in country, and had a player selected in the sixth round of the MLB draft by the San Francisco Giants.
They start this season ranked as high as #22 in the country, and have reloaded to make another run at the World Series. Bobrowski started 36 games for the Hilltoppers last year, hitting 0.273 and made the NCAA South Central Regional All-Tournament Team.
Bobrowski was a two-time 1st Team All-Conference player for the Tigers, and helped Jerome finish third at the state tournament in 2007.
Logan Parker, 2009 JHS graduate, enters his junior year at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.
He hit 0.301 as a sophomore, but even that paled in comparison to his freshman year.
In his first season, Parker hit 0.383, leading the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in batting average. He also stole 19 out of 22 bases that year. Those accomplishments earned him the GNAC Freshman-of-the -Year award. He was also placed on the ABCA All West Region Team following the season.
He began his sophomore campaign on the preseason All-West Region list. Parker was a two-time 1st Team All-Conference player for the Tigers, and helped them in the 2007 State Tournament as well.
