Welcome to the 2010 Laguna Youth Baseball season!
The 2009 season was a huge success with the opening of our new facilities at Morse Park making for great family fun and entertainment. We are hoping to build upon that success and make this season even better with the addition of scoreboards and a fully functional snackbar.
League Boundaries: Children ages five through 12 residing in the area bounded on the North by
Florin Road, on the South by Dillard Road , on the East by Highway 99, and on the West by the
Sacramento River are eligible for play in the LYBL. Children registered in the league the previous
year and move outside these boundaries will be granted permission to play under the Grandfather
Clause of Cal Ripken Baseball.
We will once again be offering the opportunity for players age 5 - 12 (playing age determined by players age on April 30, 2010) to play in one of 6 Divisions:
- Rookie Division- Instructional Division consisting primarily of 5 - 6 year old first time players.
- A Division - Instruct. Div. consisting primarily of 7 - 8 year old players w/ limited experience.
- AA Division - Competitive Division consisting primarily of 8 - 9 year old players.
- AAA Division - Competitve Division consisting primarily of 9 - 10 year old players.
- Minor Division - Competitive Division consisting primarily of 10 - 11 year old players.
- Major Division - Competitive Division consisting primarily of 11 - 12 year old players.
A players final placement in the Competitive Divisions is based upon a spring tryout and subsequent draft. Additional information will follow if you are registering for one of these Divisions.
REGISTRATION FEES:
Rookie and A Division: $120 (September 14, 2009 - December 31, 2009)
$145 (January 1, 2010 - February 28, 2010 or until capacity is met)
AA, AAA, Minor &
Major Divisions: $140 (September 14, 2009 - December 31, 2009)
$165 (Jan. 1, 2010 - Feb. 28, 2010 or until capacity is met)
