BOYS OF SUMMER 2010 SUMMER INFORMATION MEETING
December 4, 2009 - 10:00 AM
THE BOYS OF SUMMER WILL HOLD ITS FIRST MEETING FOR THE SUMMER OF 2010 AT THE HOLIDAY INN ON VETERANS HIGHWAY IN RONKONKOMA ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 7TH AT 7:30 P.M. THE MEETING IS FOR ALL TEAMS INTERESTED IN PLAYING IN OUR 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, 18U AND COLLEGE SUMMER DIVISIONS. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WE ARE AFFILIATED THROUGH THE FABL WITH AABC, NABF, PONY, BABE RUTH AND WILL HAVE BIDS TO THOSE REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS. WE ARE GOING BACK TO RUNNING THE ALL-STAR GAMES IN EVERY AGE GROUP, THE SKILLS COMPETITIONS IN EVERY AGE GROUP, UP TO DATE STATS ON OUR WEBSITE, ROSTERS ON OUR WEBSITE, AND DOUBLE ELIMINATION PLAYOFFS. THERE IS A 27-GAME SEASON, A COORDINATOR IN EVERY AGE GROUP AND WE ARE USING THE ECUA UMPIRES. WE ARE LOOKING TO RUN 12 TO 16 TEAM DIVISIONS FOR EACH AGE GROUP. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL BOS COORDINATOR AL MARTIN AT 631-335-9572 OR BOS PRESIDENT JIMMY ROSE AT 631-696-0079. PAUL WISE WILL BE COORDINATING THE BOS NATIONAL BIDS AND HANDLING THE NATIONAL EFFORT. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE AT THE FIRST MEETING.
TO ELIMINATE ANY CONFUSION, THE BOS AND THE FABL ARE RUNNING SEPARATE LEAGUES IN 2010. THE LEAGUE COORDINATORS WILL WORK TOGETHER WITH THE NATIONAL AFFILIATIONS AND THE BIDS. THERE WAS AN EMAIL SENT TO SOME MANAGERS FROM THE FABL THAT HAD SOME CONFUSING INFO ABOUT THE BIDS AND WORKING WITH THE BOS. THOSE ISSUES WERE ALREADY WORKED OUT AND LENNY ASSURED US A FOLLOW UP EMAIL WILL BE FORWARDED. TO PLAY IN THE FABL SPRING OR SUMMER, PLEASE CALL LENNY AT 631-544-6165.
