The Loch Raven Cubs 2009 BBL season has concluded.
PLAYER INTEREST / RECRUITMENT
Do you or someone you know have college level or above baseball playing experience, and have an interest in playing 30+ games from April to August each season?
As 2007 Baltimore Baseball League Champions, the Loch Raven Cubs are actively recruiting in order to return the team back to championship caliber.
We have a lot of work to do, but are determined to once again be a highly competitive post-season team, and it begins with the recruitment of top notch talent....is that you?....or someone you know?

The Loch Raven Cubs play in the Baltimore Baseball League (BBL), which is widely considered to be the top men's adult semipro league in the state of Maryland.
The costs associated with being a member of the league are many. Sponsorships and/or donations are sought in order to keep player costs down, so that we may continue to attract top rated talent and be able to continue fielding a competitive team.
The costs outlined below, give a general idea of 2009 team expenditures:
-Yearly membership fee per team to the BBL - $750
-Umpire fees - 24 seven inning games X $60 = $1,440
-Umpire fees - 12 nine inning games X $70 = $840
-Baseballs - 12 dozen X $46 = $552
-Home Field Fee (CCBC-Dundalk) 14 dates x $55 = $770
-Forfeit Bond - $200
-Miscellaneous - (equipment, field fees, etc.) - $500
As you can see, it costs nearly $5,000 to field our team each season!
Not to mention that each NEW player ends up spending around $200 to purchase our entire home and away uniform set.

If you or your company/business would like to consider sponsoring or donating to our organization, we'd love to discuss the possibilities with you.
Of course, we'd like to make it worth your while by promoting your business (if you wish). For example, we have documentation showing that we brought 3 times more business ($) to one of our recent sponsors than what they gave ($) in sponsorship!....this is especially easy if you have a retail establishment as the guys on the team would obviously frequent your business, along with family members and friends. Word of mouth is a strong marketing ploy as we've proven!
FULL SPONSORSHIP
If you or your organization were able to cover a full sponsorship ($5,000), then we would be willing to award you the naming rights to our team. Exposure of your name would be widespread as we have team and league websites, play throughout the central Maryland area, have decent fan attendance to our games, and come in contact with the general baseball community across our entire state.
Of course there would be more details to discuss involving a partial or full sponsorship. If you'd like to discuss the possibilities or have your own ideas of how we can help each other, please contact us!
